I've only completed 20% of the main quest but I can see that's not as free and open as Terraria and it doesn't have multiplayer. If that doesn't bother then I recommend it. To be fair, I've only done about 20% so i ahvent done heavy testing on it.
In Terraria, one of the things I like to do is make a really tall structure and make an Island in the sky or underwater bases. I doesn't seem like I could do that in DQB, in fact, deep water is an instant death. Maybe I could do that sky island thing but I haven't tried yet.
The game progresses via chapters that are based in different environments. The first of which is a typical green plains surrounded by a forest. You have to do makes houses for NPCs, like in Terraria, and they give you quests, and you do that, and some town defense segments, until you fight a boss at the end of a chapter. Then you have to leave the town you created and start over from scratch in a new region with a different environment. You also have a limited radius to house NPCs which is a area that his light shining from above and that space can make things feel a little cramped eventually so you have to start getting creative with how you use the space.

It's comfy af. Cute artstyle and nice music.
I like more structured design over the purely open "set your own goal" that Minecraft does. it appeals to my more practical senses when it comes to these kinds of games and I like being given a goal.
It's basically the 3D Terraria I wanted.
