It would have been nice for us to see more flashbacks demonstrating him at his peak. I hope he gets back more of his mojo before the story concludes.

I suspect that's what Tom is planning with the evil hand thing, Trace will remember more and more of his old power, at the cost of being tempted by evil and corruption.

He is only like that when he's grounded by the people he cares about and when hes around them he doesn't want to let loose because everytime he has so far, people have died.

He started out meek and humble because he was completely ignorant of his own ability, now that he knows what his abilities are hes afraid to give into them and the darker aspects of his personality because there is a real risk he'll go insane.

Think of Trace somewhat like a Jedi, certain actions or feelings don't change him while other darker actions and emotions push him towards a slippery slope he may not recover from. Trace is the way he is because chooses to be, not because hes a wimp.

We already have four times now, three of those times Trace slaughtered people and in at least one instance he killed innocent basitins and actually got a perverse pleasure out of it.

it really wasnt what id call a good comic (for a lot of reasons), but there were a few panels and even arcs that really stood out to me. im in love with post-fallout reaper jack, but pre-fallout hitler jack is a fucking retarded character and poor excuse of a backstory.

overall id give it a 7/10, mostly because theres just so many fucking pages so it makes for a decent binge read.

I think you need to have your head examined. The art is terrible and actually got worse as time went on due to Dave getting lazier and lazier. The stories writing was terrible having plot holes big enough to sail the Titanic through, contradictions within the same arcs, dropped plot points, and inconsistent characters. Speaking of characters they are either SJW wannabes or Nazi's, there was nothing inbetween. David himself is a borderline psychopath who scared his wife so bad with his rape fantasies about her she called into dateline to ask for advice. While married to his wife and having a kid he was literally jerking off to stories of real life rape and molestation by underage members of his forums or simply have regular all cybersex with them. There there is the fact he'd charge people for commissions and either run away with the money or take two years to basically give them a very basic sketch of what they asked for.

Jack is shit but David Hopkins should be locked up in the psychiatric ward for public safety. Don't support his garbage.

Exactly, his past is too one-dimensionally dark. I want to see parts of his rise to power where he might have used his powers in an intimidating but ultimately beneficial way. Like preventing a wolf-clan from attacking an innocent town by projecting some kind of magical shield over the whole village. Some huge display of power that resulted in all of the other wizards to go "Oh, yeah, this guy's going to be running the show soon." It would make him feel less mary sue if his strengths and weaknesses had layers to them. As is he's just really powerful, with all of that power being "covered" by his amnesia and a bland "sinister past".

Then you don't know Trace or his backstory and its not bland its actually pretty well fleshed out. What you are describing isn't consistent with the Trace Nora described or that we've seen in other flashbacks.

The Trace she described was just an ordinary Templar, gifted and talented yes but ungodly powerful no. He was basically just another guy in the rank and file, escorting important people and retrieving slaves. Humans and Keidran were largely at peace so there weren't any large scale raids or need for such displays of power. This frustrated Trace and he did want more but he only sought it out on his own time and through study not heroics.

Furthermore he was pretty much the same Trace we know now with a few key differences, the biggest one being his prejudice against Keidran only Nora is quick to point out he wasn't cruel or out picking fights. He became a duke through his marriage to Saria and while its a position of power it genuinely loved her and probably didn't care about that.

When Saria died he dedicated himself to trying to resurrect her and his use of dark magic nearly killed him and drove him insane. After that he pretty much isolated himself for 2 years, his craving for power cranked up to 11, re-emerging and staging a coup of the Templar at which point he is ungodly powerful but not using his powers for anybodies benefit but his own since hes doing it only to amass even more power and cares nothing for anyone.

Tom isn't going to go into great detail about that, we already know that Trace was a complete monster and too much focus on that will make him seem irredeemable even with amnesia.

Zen ironically looks very similar to his sister while she's disguised, although there are a few subtle differences. Nat is more slender and has an hourglass figure, and she has more pronounced eyelashes. Slightly softer facial features, too, although obviously Tom''s art can vary quite a bit when it comes to stuff like that (when drawn consistently, Nat has a more hear-shaped face wheras Zen's jaw and chin are more squared).

Even as a male Mike has an even shorter, narrower snout than fem-Clovis, despite both of them having fox facial features. Physically he's not much different from Laura except with different hair and no tits. Evals isn't going to be mistaken for a chick though.

Sythe is probably the most masculine looking canine Keidran even if he dresses like a sex slave.

I mean Rose gets captured and held temporary by Mary 19 years ago when she wasn't the Grand Templar yet. She has to do something with her, can't just let her go since shes viewed as an invader and she isn't going to kill her as due to the screwed up curcumstances she is sort of family even if she was a Keidran, which is why slavery was also out.

Her solution? Give her to the one kind hearted person she could count on who wouldn't treat he well and not like a slave, Saria.

Also after the lecture she gave Trace after he brought a slave home, I'd love to see that argument since from Trace's perspective Saria already had a slave and so probably didn't get what the big deal was.

For some reason furries get a free pass when it comes to SJW nonsense. That's one of the things I love about anthropomorphic characters-- they're dissarming and people's expectations kind of go out the window.

Like a lot of things in the comic, it's kinda ambiguous.

One way you could look at it as the illusion spell playing off of Keith's worst fears, and he didn't know why she ran off. "But why (did you cheat on me)? Why did you (fuck the entire village) right before the wedding?"

The other way you could look at it is that he actually knows it happened, and that's why he can't really say it. Hurts him to think and talk about it. The illusion spell then plays off his hopes, that it wasn't Laura turning on him/turning into a foxslut, but that she wasn't in her right mind because of magic milk. His "heart's desire" is that there is some hope of reconciliation, that she didn't hurt him on purpose.

It's hard to tell which it was meant as at the time. When he meets her on the island, it is either A (he didn't know what happened, assumed the worst, and she explains it wasn't as bad as he thinks it was) or he is retconning option B (she couldn't walk right for a week and that's why she couldn't catch up to him).

It's actually pretty easy t tell he didn't know, look at the third panel, and I don't see any implication on >>8481278 or prior pages which suggested he did know why Laura left. You and people like you are reading something into the comic which was never there to begin with, especially on the gangbang angle.

Anything that this Laura said can't be trusted, we knew that even before we knew what kind of illusion she was. Keith didn't know why Laura left so the illusion naturally didn't know either, nor could Natani know as she was surprised to even see a Keidran at all. Keith is expecting an answer to why she left. "I don't remember" wouldn't cut it because it wouldn't fit Keiths expectations of Laura or the situation and would break the illusion. Instead it made something up based on random stuff Keith did know about, like the milk, to meet Keith's expectations and maintain the illusion long enough for Natani to shoot him.

That means there was no retcon later because the story about the milk and infidelity was never canon to begin with nor meant to be, it was something made up by an illusion designed to keep Keith distracted nothing more.

Give Tom some credit here, there are plenty of actual continuity errors you could point to from the early comic.

Also where is this mention of a gangbang at all? Just because she said she drank the magic milk doesn't imply she became a whore spreading her legs for a group of guys. It could have been one guy, the impact on Keith would have been the same.

I don't think this is actually from Tom for a number of reasons. The line thickness is tooo thick, it combines old design with new design, Flora's tits are too big, and her ass is too filled out.
