WHY the FUCK did you POST THIS

>he doesn't know about cocoa puffs
oh, my sweet summer child

A sense of purpose or a person on the same wavelength. Nothing much, just that stuff that Disney movies conditioned us from childhood that we absolutely need, or else we'll be miserable for life.

>a person on the same wavelength.
>Tfw you felt you had something like that with someone.
>Could talk about almost anything.
>Just as good was being comfortable with each other in complete silence
>Both of you being a bit prideful at times though
>Eventually a series of mistakes were made on both sides
>Pride stopped us from admitting either of us were wrong
And thus ended my relationship of two years. I look back at it now and see what I could have done better, and learned my lesson about communication.
>>8443226

>>8443441
>>Could talk about almost anything.
>almost
Not to diminish your experience (sorry about your loss, by the way), but do you think it's possible to have someone you could talk about literally anything?
>>8443291
If it weren't for the horns, that sheep could just as well be Remmy.
>>8443550
Nick is perfectly built to suffer.
>>8443573
Hmm, I want to say yes, but I think it would take a good number of years (more than my relationship was) and a very good wavelength with that person. For both people to fully accept each other, faults and all, and not let emotions stop you from listening. Communication, above all else, is key after all. I can really only guess because that two year relationship, though I knew her for four, was the longest relationship I've had.
I also have the idea that, naturally, you are going to go to other people to talk about things. Sometimes you might be more comfortable talking to your parents, your family, about something. Maybe go to your friends, people that you can talk to but aren't extremely close and thus they can give a more distanced advice. And obviously things you can only talk to your SO about.

>>8443757
Nick is too pure to abuse people. He is for abusing.
>>8443764
You're right. Nick would only fuck up Judy physically and sexually once she started hurting him. THEN he would let the claws out.

Don't you worry about it at all! The worst that can happen is that you work really, really hard on it, you post it, and everyone hates it! They hate it so much that your name is forever associated with how horrible your submission was! It's so terrible that everyone bands together to find you, comes to your house, ties you up, and throws you into a volcano! And its all video taped by every news agency and people around the world celebrate the event and the Pope gives a speech before you're tossed in about how this is the best thing that could ever happen, and just before you're tossed into the lava Zootopia 2 is announced!
So don't worry about it!

>>8445644
It's Remmy. Because he's a complex, flawed, and interesting character who has a nice character arc documenting his steps both forward and back in adapting to his new social climate.
>>8445639

>>8445644
Rex, I like him more than Anneke cause he is cute chill badger. I have nothing against Anneke it's just.. I don't know, she just doesn't seem very interesting to me.
>>8445701
Hopefully we get like, an entire arc dedicated to her. That'd be nice.
>>8445644
Charly. I like her way of life, weird but also interestening.
Judy freaked out at ABSOLUTELY NOTHING at the "naturalist" club. Literally NO ONE had any genitals there. There was NO nakedness. Even if Nick took off his clothes there, he'd have no penis. Even if Judy took off her clothes there, she wouldn't have a vasneeza. The same would be true of all mammals in Zootopia.
>>8445778
>Literally NO ONE had any genitals there. There was NO nakedness
you're an idiot
>>8445789
no, maybe he's right - think about it: maybe they're all a computer simulation and are unaware they're not real. This means they simply fail to notice they are missing genitals and Judy's reaction is a pre-programmed response with no deeper meaning.
>>8445778
>tfw Judy has no vasneeza
>>8445644
Can I be honest here?
I think Pack Street has run its course as far as discussion goes.
All that's being talked of it nowadays is favorite characters/ships and whatnot,
and it kinda feels like anons are only trying to make an effort to force it to be 'relevant' to discussion just as they're doing with canon characters.
Hell, if anons really want to discuss Pack Street as a setting, why not even recommend a fanfic of Pack Street and discuss that instead?
Saying a bunch of names everyone's already heard over and over again adds no sustenance in respect to the fiction.
And my favorite character is Marty.
>>8445823

>>8445778
My imagination filled in all the blanks for me. It was a very weird trip to the cinema. I regret nothing.
>>8445823
I would have loved to make a joke about the irony of this statement in regards to some people's sentiment that zootopia itself is in the same spot, but can't think of a way to make the humor obvious without somebody thinking I'm serious and flinging shit
>>8445650
Gotcha
>>8445644
But anon
It is Anneke
>>8445810
What a crazy theory
>>8445823
I disagree since I saw discussions about a lot of other things regarding this fic. Obviously the shipping is the strongest part
Ok, now back to TT, yeeeeeee!
>>8445823
I kinda feel people are so encircled on Pack St despite it's apparent merits they overlook a number of fanfics warranting discussion as well.
You know, I have a feeling talk about Pack St continues out of habit rather than genuine interest, while it would be cool if anons have gotten into a habit of chatting about other pieces of writing, because things like Stoutwell or Reichstagbrand (to name a few) have expanded plot with enough material for speculation.
Of course, not every fanfic captivates enough attention to get it talked about. That's fair, and there are numerous reasons for this, but the way I see it anons are making themselves a disservice by neglecting to get a habit of talking about different fan material.
>>8445823
this tbqh.
The endless discussions of who Remmy should stick his benis in got old real fast. Pack Street isn't a deep enough universe to rely on for constantly good discussion.
I would actually like to start discussing newer fics, at least a little bit. There's almost no non-PS discussion for hours and hours, sometimes.
The problem is that we don't have a lot of ongoing fics like Pack Street; most fics are one shots.
So what do we talk about next?
>>8445882
Damn that is one cute Wolter, I hope we get more of him palling around with the other members of Pack Street. Rex, Ozzy, or Remmy again. Don't know if Al and him hang out that much... doesn't seem like it but I have nothing to really back that on but assumption so take that with a grain of salt.
>>8445897
>The endless discussions of who Remmy should stick his benis in got old real fast.
you're expecting people here to be able to have an actual discussion about things they like without being solely focused on benis in vagina :-DDdd
point and laugh, everyone
>>8443226
Animal or human, the anus should always be avoided in sex. It's a vile hole. Why anyone would want to lick one, shove a cock up one, or receive a cock up one makes no sense to me. I laugh at the idea really. I usually just skip ahead to the vag scenes when watching porn.
>>8445923
>The problem is that we don't have a lot of ongoing fics like Pack Street; most fics are one shots.
That's a fair point. Why writefags are so lazy?
On that note, I'm sure we do have ongoing fics - Fournier and Stoutwell, anything else?
Anyone have this?
>>8445948
Hyenahurst and Sorbune are very noice
>>8445969
I haven't heard about either of them, links/tl;dr?
>>8445884
>>8445923
My theory as to why Pack Street is talked about so much is that there's a feedback loop. Everyone talks about Pack Street, so EVERYONE talks about Pack Street. We need a few anons to start talking about some other fic so they can break the feedback loop or at least start another one.
>>8445986
>We need a few anons to start talking about some other fic so they can break the feedback loop or at least start another one.
That's only half of it - I wouldn't mind something as sprawling and captivating series as well. And I fucking know we have the people talented enough to write lengthy interesting things - but what is the missing element which makes Pack St to easy to discuss?
Captivating characters? Diverse cast? Surprising plot? WHAT IS EET
>>8443441
Personally, I would never date ever. Relationships cost too much time, money, and freedom. I have enough trouble finding the time to do my things without a woman in my life. Why take on an optional responsibility?
>>8446014
Not saying that, I was saying Pack Street, while great, dominates a lot. It has very high visibility, so it just snowballs, while stuff with less gets overlooked.
I'm all for discussing PS, and of course Zootopia, but I'd like to see more people discussing and speculating about other fic series and comics.
Sure, other stuff gets (you)s, but I rarely see people talk about something outside of or after the thread it's originally posted in.
>>8446014
>>why are people talking about things that they like, instead of talking about things that *I* like???
But that's not the point of the discussion we're having?
>>8445986
Problem is Pack Street is one of the few still ongoing fics I'm reading and even it's on hiatus barring whatever pics or comics Weaver decides to throw down. Not sure what other fics to chat about, I loved the hell out of Rabbit Clan's Fox and would discuss that to death but its also looking on hiatus/done and that kinda kills the enthusiasm a tad...
>>8446026
>I fucking know we have the people talented enough to write lengthy interesting things
This makes me so mad. We have writefags here who can write circles around weaver and yet NONE OF THEM WRITE GOOD LENGTHY FICS.
That's all I want.
>>8446026
Pack Street gets a lot of discussion because there's nine main characters, which means... uh... 36, I think, different relationships, without even counting the side-characters (including some pretty major ones, like Pandora and Velvet). Most fics have two main characters, and few have more than four or so, so they don't have the discussion potential.
I'd be lying if I said all the Pack Street main cast were equally well fleshed out (cough Avo cough) but they're all pretty interesting and complex characters in their own rights and they bounce off each other in interesting ways.
>>8446037
>Relationships cost too much time, money, and freedom
That's linkin park-tier reply.
Most normie relationships are an additional responsibility, but given the right person (and they're not THAT hard to find actually), good relationship is not only magnificently liberating, but also a source of joy rather than responsibility.
Most think of relationship primarily as a source of sex, given our society sex-obsessed and sex-starved at the same time, but healthy relationship expands beyond this and provides a solid basis for satisfaction, self-improvement and personal growth. And I'm not talking about romantic novel / hollywood blockbuster kind of a way ship, but a steady union of two people who fancy each other.
>>8446026
>>8446077
>>8446090
I'm gonna say what makes it interesting is that it started off as an easy to digest comic that gained supplementary material in the form of fics which a lot of people ingested, leading to its own fandom. If mead spent a couple days just pumping out a bunch of silly art for WUtB while it was still being written I bet it would gain just as much traction

Author here.
Here's Hyenahurst:
http://pastebin.com/u/lytaddax
3 episodes so far. Let me tell you a little bit about it.
It's set in Sahara Square, 2003. The main characters, a group of idiosyncratic high schoolers, endure interspecies drama while also trying to navigate the social stratum of a neighborhood that essentially has New York on one side (Savanna Central) and Vegas on the other (the area around The Palm).
Pred/prey relations happen in as clever ways as I can manage, and the cast is ever growing as new characters become part of the gang, and background characters slowly have more and more revealed about themselves.
I'm trying to make this fic series a slow burn, but I also try and make each episode different enough to stay engaging. There are mysteries and unanswered questions throughout, and I hope to answer them in compelling ways.
I've had a few people praise it and encourage me to keep going, so that's just what I intend to do.
>>8446150

I've been together with my now wife for five years, and I'm infinitely better for it. I'm still a disgusting fat shit who spends the majority of my free time either making moonrunes readable for a Mongolian knitting forum or playing vidyer gaems; that hasn't changed since high school. But ever since she asked me out (!!!) I've gotten a job, gotten into a nice college, moved out from my parents, and have regular INCREDIBLE sex. If she'd never showed up, odds are I'd die in my parents place living that tendie life.
Just so it doesn't sound like I'm talking out my ass (and that paragraph felt like I was more bragging than making a point), look at Nick and Judy. At the end of the movie, he's still a smug prick, but now he has a great job that he enjoys, all thanks to Judy (plus we all know he gets to regularly slam the shit out of that bunny cunny).

As a woman I find a dick in my ass to feel really good.

That's a very good point. The Pack Street comics make for a very efficient entry point for new potential readers. They're a bite-size sample of what the series as a whole is offering.
I don't want to pick on this poor dude but look at this: >>8446145
This gave me zero reasons to read Hyenahurst. All it really told me is that the author is a little too impressed with himself and is trying way too hard not to show it. The only way this could sound like more of a wank is if it was set in Zistopia. And that's before I even know the name or race of the main character/s! This is not good marketing.
Say what you like about Weaver, but he knows how to grab attention on 4chan.

This quote really sums up the sentiment of these posts, which is "I'm not interested enough in this to take part in these discussions, so I assume no one else is and therefore they must be faking/forcing it".
>>8446265
Comparing to Weaver is difficult because of how well known he and his style is. He can go into any general and draw something and instantly be recognized and grab a ton of attention because of it. He grabs attention because of who he is, and he history of content he has provided. Someone new doesn't have that to rely on.

>healthy relationship expands beyond this and provides a solid basis for satisfaction, self-improvement and personal growth.
>>8446205
>if you find the right person, you don't sacrifice shit and only improve.
All of this; the only work that an actual relationship honestly takes is communication. The idea that having someone in your life costs you is kind of depressing; if you are with someone and you feel limited instead of fulfilled, you may need to sit down and talk with them to figure out why you feel like this.
Every relationship is going to have their ups and downs, sure, but having someone you can talk to, be there for you, and that you care enough to do the same for them beats out any "negatives" that both people should be working towards overcoming anyway.
>>8446350
I think pack st would have been as popular even if it was written by someone else. not saying weav's acclaim doesn't help, but if it wasn't good it would have never become so popular - the internet is ruthless when it comes to this.
>>8446350
The Wishgranter saga disproves this pretty thoroughly. Even with a clean slate he got popular pretty quickly.
>>8446382
I'm not saying it would have fallen into history and would have been forgotten, but I'm more saying that Weaver instantly brings a presence when he posts and is noticed, and thus read, when he does. I'm not saying it would have been forgotten but I doubt it would have initially hooked as hard as it did.
>>8446391

Plenty of people knew it was Weaver. That, and wishgranter, and let's assume for the sake of this that people had no idea this was Weaver, was based around 'granting wishes', which was just requests. And he whipped out a ton of random ass requests people had on their minds. You can get a similar effect for literally any artist here, any time someone says "I want to draw something, tell me what", they get a bunch of replies. It's entirely different compared to someone unknown making a new series.
>discord is making fun of us again :(
>>8446265
So here we have someone trying to write a continuous series like Shorty Squad or Pack Street, set in the Zootopia concept, but fully independent from the actual movie. This author really thought about a cast of characters and how they'd interact with each other.
This is an attempt at genuine OC writing and just because it isn't "advertised" right, you assume it's automatically bad? Because the author, who has put probably hours into crafting something original set in this universe, appears to be proud of this? You haven't even read it, anon, so how do you have any right to talk about it like you do?

>Anyone else HATE Pack Street?
You know what
Normally I try to avoid speaking in my own defense like this, because a thread can say "you're good" all day but the second you say "hey maybe I AM good" you're attacked for being a wild narcissist
You ever wonder why so many artists are self-hating? The second anyone accepts that positivity they're seen as egomaniacs. Only way to push on is to trash yourself constantly
Well fuck it -- Pack Street is a good story and I'm proud of it.
I think it's some of my best work and I'm happy with the characters, setting, writing, pacing, polish, and plot
I'm not gonna say popularity is some perfect metric of quality, that every story its more popular than is inherently worse
But I am saying that painting it like it has no redeeming qualities other than some tautological momentum is stupid
I think it has plenty of its own merits and isn't solely popular because my name's on it
And I think spitting on its success because other stories might have less recognition is petty
Maybe I'll do some big post about presentation and 'marketing' and whatever but despite what some people seem to think, what little I do have going for me wasn't just dropped on my lap one day

"Well, hurry up, Flash!" Judy screamed. "It's been eight hours already, I'm sore!"
>>8446651
That over-confidence is all that I got out of how they presented their story. It lacked anything to grip me. The blurb of Lord of the Rings doesn't talk about the geopolitics of Middle Earth and the eons-long war among the Maiar, it talks about Frodo Baggins. And that guy didn't mention his Frodo.

but most posters agree and the general agreements seems to be it would have been popular for what it is no matter who's the author. Agree on pettiness and sorry if this discussion made you upset.
the thing is probably a lot of people believe if someone is popular enough you can complain about them, just like you complain about weather, economy, etc, forgetting there's a real person sitting somewhere there.

It's your fans, man. You are a good content creator and, at least as far as I can tell, a good person. But the circle jerking can kind of get annoying. I thoroughly enjoyed PS, but when people come in the thread and are all like "omg I'm only here for pack street" "Weaver is the only one capable of writing good OCs" "Pack street is the only good zootopia fanfiction" and shit like that, it kind of, I dunno, roons it, I guess. I, as do many people on 4chan, have a chronic case of hipsteritis, so whenever I hear unanimous praise for something, that instinctively makes me want to find all the flaws in it and assume it's only popular for reasons other than quality, which kind of sucks when it's something I do enjoy, like Pack Street.
>>8446692
>>I know plenty of writers who can write circles around Weaver!

And for fuck's sake, noone even said it was bad.
Hell, I myself believed there was more to it than shipping, but the fact is that discussion of the story behind it had simply grown worn out.

Okay how's this:
1. That person clearly wasn't comparing Weaver to Shakespeare, but to other less-recognized writers in the thread. Here, and throughout your post, you're intentionally misrepresenting the point to make it seem more valid.
2. You completely ignored the point Weaver was actually making about it in his post, which is that you can compliment Guy A without going "you shit all over Guy B!" because it's an unnecessary dig at Guy B and appreciation is not a purely finite and relative thing.
3. You're encouraging a competitive "us vs them" response to content creators by doing so.
4. You intentionally ignore the central point of the post by weaseling into these petty side arguments.
tl;dr:
You're a fucking idiot.
>>8447070
I'll be honest anon, I feel that way constantly.
Humans by nature tend to focus more on the bad than the good, and I don't know if it's from ancient survival instinct or what, but a negative comment is going to stand out more than a dozen positive ones. I hate that, I really do.
Yesterday I got a lot of positive attention thrown my way, and it actually terrified me. Made me want to quit out of fear of it blowing up in my face. And part of it stemmed from me thinking I'm not really that good at what I do, and as soon as others realize that they're gonna 'turn on me', so to speak.
But you gotta keep doing what you love. Quitting is easy to do, but persevering is what makes you stronger and better as a person.
Everyone feels their work is not up to par, but doing what you do regardless and feeling pride here and there is important.
Those who feel no shame never become better at what they do, I've found in the creative field.

Let me clarify my comment before this turns into a pointless argument.
Let me first say that there was no malicious intent when I wrote it, and that I actually really enjoy PS. I would have used "shat on" if I wanted to be mean. I believe that there are writers in this thread better than Weaver. It's not a dig at weaver, it's simply stating that there are people who have been doing it for longer and have read books about writing and have been to seminars and shit and are therefore just better at it out of pure experience. It's not an insult to say someone's been doing something longer than someone else. And even then I would rate Weaver pretty high up the list. I would also like to say that the "plenty" was not in my original post, I just said I knew writers who are really good at writing who could really go places if they started an OC driven, long running fic, and I added the Weaver bit because of the context of the discussion.
So, I was bullied by Boney and Comic to make an AO3 account and post Hey, Beaver! on it.
So here it is.

>And I think spitting on its success because other stories might have less recognition is petty
This.
It's the entire reason anyone shits on anything ever, because they believe it's success is shoving down others that deserve it more.
It's not an entirely false sentiment, though.
There's plenty of trash works out there that get way more popularity than they deserve, such as twilight. After awhile, though, people stop differentiating between the actual objective quality of media and look only at subjective qualities that are relevent to themselves and their interests to judge whether it "deserves" it's success or not.
tl;dr: Saying The godfather is overrated is retarded, saying Twilight is overrated is correct. Don't being a contrarian cunt against all popularity and figure out what actually makes something good beyond your own bias.
>>8446265
Sorry anon, I didn't mean for it to come off as proud.
I was explaining what I have been trying to accomplish with it. Whether it is successful or not in doing that is up to the reader. I didn't say I was clever or engaging just that I was trying to be and hope it turned out that way.
I wasn't sure how to explain more about it without talking about plot details.

Its a few angry posters and one or two trolls each time.
They are just more vocal, and they go unchallenged because the majority of people don't want to feed them.
Then they samefag and talk to themselves for the entire thread and whoever theyre bashing thinks we all hate them.
>>8447838
And I love you, anon. Thank you. I'll try to do better at giving people a nice teaser description of the story next time I advertise it.
>>8447694
Clawhauser sized Weaverlope when?
>>8447804
It was shit but still funny to read, as in cringeworthy funny.
It was obvious the author had no idea what english was, but still managed to write something that I could understand.
The ending was great because there was nothing else after it.
All in all 10/10.
>>8447738
Rabbit Clan's Fox is still one of my favorites even if it did really skim over some important things near the end and then the sudden stop that was the last chapter.
I love it because it was a medieval piece, which is one of my favorite things, that didn't go all guts and gloomy the whole way through. It felt real, the tasks that needed doing, the night and day time frames they had to put up with to get things done. Boney just did a really freaking good job making the entire world seem believable and he didn't do it with abloo bloo everyone is suffering and its all sad. Yes times were hard, getting through the day let alone the season was a mighty task and I feel he did a really good job reflecting that in his work.
I would love a sequel and I hope it is in the cards since like I said, it's my favorite fic.
Skipping the hate part.

>Fox on the Run
It was nice to see a fanfic where Nick apparently goes rogue, though we don't know why, and Judy still trusts him, wanting to know what exactly is going on and not just writing him off. The trust that she has in her partner and boyfriend is still there and not just wiped away by one action like plenty of fanfics would do. The same with a lot of the ZPD, with quite a few officers not convinced that Nick betrayed them.
>Booze & Biology
That fanfic will always put a smile on my face, with the in-character worries from Nick and Judy, the dash of humor and sense of communication.
If I went with the hate part, I'd just put down "Two Savages" and leave it at that.
>>8447920
I was about to say I've never even written anything, but I did write that one thing, once, and I'm currently working on something else so I guess that isn't all that accurate.

>>8447718

>>8447726
Don't get me wrong, I fucking love Pack Street and the shit Weaver does.
I initially only wanted to voice my opinions of the current state of its discussion only out of my love for the actual story.
I never intended for the argument to get this out of hand.
>>8447738
I'm going to agree with >>8447759 here.
It's one thing to be critical about the state of discussion about certain fanfictions,
but it's something completely different to bash on random fics for countless amounts of minor flaws.
>>8447804
Ooh, my last fanfic was one of my own! In the first chapter of Inadvertent Seduction, Charlie was actually about to ask Marty out for lunch before she learned that he was going to go out to lunch with Remmy, and somehow it didn't even occur to me what was implied by Charlie wanting to ask Marty out on Valentine's Day. A reviewer pointed out the heartbreak inherent in this and it's felt wonderfully bittersweet ever since.
>>8447893
>I love it because it was a medieval piece
I really don't want to shake my first at you after you said so many nice things about me but come on, buddy, the bronze age was literally a thousand years from medieval.
But apart from that, I appreciate the kind words.
Speaking of fics, there is this one fic that interest me. It appeared during thematic thursday. It is about a coyote in an abusive relation with his alpha, who is his brother. There is two fics of it, the last one being about the coyote planning with his brother, an omega, to leave their hometown. If you are the writefag who wrote this, please continue this project.
>>8447974
Sorry I'm actually not that much of a historian, I'm just kinda romantically idealing here so I'm not sure about the right period names or times. I guess it would be more accurate to say I love all pre zootopia time period pieces not just 'medieval' as it were.
You are a cool duder Boney.
>>8447759
>>8447969
Hate was definitely the wrong word to use and I apologize for that. I should have left that out and just left it at "disappointed by" or said something along the lines of "tropes/plotlines that you dislike".
Also I won't really bash on random fics for minor flaws, it has to take something major for me to really hate it. An example would be Eloquence, which we already beat the hell out of it like it owed us money.
>>8448047
I don't think anyone here has written anything worthy of Eloquence hate.

>>8447991

Also, in case anyone is wondering about the otters' last names in the fic
Lutreaux is Jacob's last name
Enhyderson is Freddy's
Just felt the urge to set that straight.
>>8448058
Honestly I don't think anyone in general has written anything worthy of that level of hate, though that is partly because of the people who liked Fluent only to have the author basically take a shit on it and the author themselves being unable to even respond to criticism. The only things that come even close in the fandom is "True Love" and "Inter-Schminter".
>>8448129
But they're not straight.
>>8448148
true love at least was nice toward criticism, i remeber sprinkah even reblogging the genuine bunny earjob

>>8447969
Sorry if I interject a little. I only wanted to say this: you had some good reasons, but you had just explained them badly. you have been very aggressive in your argumentations, insulting whoever did not agree with your views (e.g. calling whoever didn't want to criticize as dick-sucking) and making generalizations. This is, in my opinion, the main reason you have received such backlash.
Also, as a CC, I wanted to say this: we know there is always someone better. Being constantly reminded of it, like everywhere in life, can be irritating and/or depressing. So, doing such comparative criticism, by putting others down, can be quite painful for the "others". And it's not about "growing a pair" or something similar, it is about being a sensible, decent human being. Won't you hate if you made something, then another has done a similar thing, and to praise them people say: "Wow, you are so much better than [Your name]"?
I can assure you, both the one receiving the praise and the ones put down will not feel good about it.
Much better critique can be done by concentrating on the person in question, giving, real, useful advice.
You have some interesting ideas, you just expressed them a little badly, imho. Just wanted to say this.
>>8448071
>Everyone loves otters.

Honestly, no. That's the weird thing. There's always been tension and drama and people who butted heads, but it seems like overall toxicity (and behind-the-scenes drama) just made a bunch of people say "Fuck it" and quit. There wasn't any one big event, as far as I can tell. Just a steady trickle of "regulars" leaving with hard feelings.
>>8448536
I guess it could help to just upload the full page to the board.
>>8448501
>>8448555
>>8448539
Yeah this is basically it. Its a fairly toxic atmosphere, not from anyone in particular really, just in general. You end up spending a lot of your time in there getting mad at someone for some reason or another, and it eats your time. Eventually you just start spending more and more time doing other things until you realize "you know, I don't really need to be in here anymore". Then you leave. Its sad, but inevitable.
Though, in fairness: its a testament to the discord community that its lasted this long and through so many bumps.
>>8447738
Reichstagsbrand is a story about boring nobodies being affected in ways we already know about by events happening elsewhere, which are to be resolved offscreen by more interesting characters they have no connection to.

>>8448592
Lol, you were ruminating on that one for a while, weren't you? Thinking of the most pointed way to criticize that fic by calling it boring.
Actually, I think the beauty of RSB is in how we know the general path of the major events are occurring, and we want to see how these characters tie in. There's also a lot of detail of the goings on in the city, like the pred helicopter pilots being grounded, preds being framed, so on.
Remember, Judy was gone from Zootopia for months. Plenty of time to tell a juicy story about all this stuff.
Besides, Pack Street's last few chapters were written through the lens of the nighthowler event, and I don't see you calling it boring (it's not).
RSB author, keep at it.

>Though, in fairness: its a testament to the discord community that its lasted this long and through so many bumps.
I've been in online communities that lasted for years with even less reason to stick together than liking a Disney movie. This doesn't really strike me as something that had to happen. To me, slowly losing time and interest until your account is functionally inactive in inevitable Leaving and being all "Fuck this place" isn't.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not faulting those who did leave. It's just depressing because people left due to toxicity when it's really really easy to just not be dicks to each other. Now, the vast majority of people I actually talked to there are gone, and I'm only still there in hopes that things turn around somehow, even though I know they won't.
I still love the threads, at least. It just sucks to meet a bunch of cool people from the community then lose them because other people don't know how to not be assholes.

This is me. Literally me. No other image can come close to relating to me like this. There is no way you can convince me this is not me. This image could not possibly be anymore me. It’s me, and nobody can convince me otherwise. If anyone approached me on the topic of this not possibly being me, then I immediately shut them down with overwhelming evidence that this image is me. This image is me, it is indisputable. Why anyone would try to argue that this image is not me is beyond me. If you held two pictures of me and this image side by side, you’d see no difference. I can safely look at this image every day and say “Yup, that’s me”. I can practically see this image every time I look at myself in the mirror. I go outside and people stop me to comment how similar I look and act to this image. I chuckle softly as I’m assured everyday this image is me in every way. I can smile each time I get out of bed every morning knowing that I’ve found my identity with this image and I know my place in this world. It’s really quite funny how similar this image is to me, it’s almost like we’re identical twins. When I first saw this image, I had an existential crisis. What if this image was the real me and I was the fictional being. What if this image actual became aware of my existence? Did this image have the ability to become self aware itself?

Proud samurai bun and shifty fox having to work together because their house's have a shared interest? Maybe to stop a certain robbery or guarding and or delivering something?
>>8450561
>>8450723
This but instead of fox house, why not Nick be a ronin hired by the bun house as extra muscle for delivering a message through a rival's land to a secretish ally? Nick might not even be a real samurai and he's just conning them but starts to get a shine for bunny he's working with and decides to stick around. Maybe even learns a bit from her and vice versa.
