Ok, Pseudo, I gave it a read. I like it.
It's nice how you weaved together a story that connects both the origin of Nick's working for Big and one of the fandom ships. I like the idea, I lek the way you realized it.
For critique, first there is a phrase where Nick talk about his hooves, probably an error. Also I suggest of using an animal pun on Greco-Roman (e.g. Romawn).
I found the dialogue at the beginning at little heavy to follow, since every sentence pronounced by a character was paired with a description of what they were doing. I suggest to make less alternation (e.g. a little banter between the two and THEN the description).
Also be careful with the references to the film/fanon, you need to have a constant mix of that and narrative, otherwise it seems like a crack theory more than a fic. Here you stayed below the critical level, it is just a suggestion for future works. References are at their best when they are sparse and subtle, when you understand them only at the end, in an 'Ah-ah!' moment. I don't know if you have read it, but I based my last TT fic exactly on this.
Still, pretty good work.
Also I especially like the little pieces of worldbuilding that you put into your works.

Spy Jack can be a neat character, assuming you give him personality (maybe a combination of Dalton's and Craig's James Bond?) Just he needs to be his own character and not a foil to Nick and Judy. Put him in an AU where those two don't exist, or some other timeline. Maybe have the WildeSavage spy duo, or even SavageHopps duo. Just as long as he is not used as a fucking plot device.

Hell, even James Bond is rather enjoyable and is one of the most popular spy franchises in the world despite James being a mary sue.
I like the idea of outwardly cold and emotionally stunted Jack, like in this comic. Of course, that would only work with Sky(e) to contrast, but that make me like the ship even more.

And obviously, you'd need a good story to add instead of having two characters sort of exist in vacuum.

My main concern is a streak of inconsistent writing, attempting to show an empty, irredeemable world in a rather heavy-handed way and varying quality of art - I think the strip with the lobotomised zombies killed it for me definitely.

It all probably boils down to the author losing interest in the comic and it seemed to be sort of prodding along on its own momentum without any sense of direction.

They didn't try to sell a story, have a meaningful moral or show hope, but merely introduce new heighs of despair and hopelessness which didn't serve anything. Would comparing the latter stages of Zistopia to old Linkin Park songs be an overstrech? Perhaps, but you probably see what I mean.

They would be perhaps better off attempting to replicate the original script, adding a few details and minor archs along the way.

This was my main gripe as well, especially coupled with Hopps "why r ppl mean 2 nik?" and 'evil government ploy'. Those are two tropes that I hoped people would avoid when writing collars but wihout failure appears time and time again.

You see I have to agree.
Whilst I liked the Idea that others of the police would investigate in their own way. I also didn't like the Thing with the Lobotoism, first of all we still don't have a good explanation for it and second it wasn't really necesarry.

Also what I have to criticise is...the whole scene she made about using the term "queer" I don't have anything against it. I just still don't understand it how she useses the term "queer" in her story. She never explained that really if you ask me. (I still haven't figured it out.)

Also I have to agree with the last part. She should've went with the Original Script and added some details. That would've been interestening.

All in all I can agree with you.

It often happens to me that I write some word wrong or "germanise" them as my English teacher would say.

Anyway. I really, really liked the story. I mean I also kind enjoyed the side story of Judys Punk sister and her Punk friends.
But one the other side some Charakters just appeared out of nowhere.
Mostly I have to say that about Glen
Yes she appeared in the flashback.
But then just..she was there, at Bug Burgers, ping just there.
Or all those side Comics that then came about some silblings from Judy (the others not her Punk Sister) like Chad or some others. Rabbits we only saw for some seconds or in a few scenes. I know they where there to expand the story but that could've worked different too.

That Judys sister and her hare friend break up, instead of that maybe her Hare friend, Harold I think coul've come up with the plan, and step by step the other Bunnie would've aggreed, most of them at least and then they would've run to the train station.

For now the style I hope to reach is Alec-style. Clean lines, a sense of volume even with very little shadow. Then (don't know how long it will take) something more Kam-style, concentrate even more on realistic anatomy.
If I got even remotely similar to Rose I will be more than happy.
Endgame? I do not know many artists but Veramundis seems a good ideal, but it will probably take many years for that.
