I think the lynch-pin that will make that fic work is the transition, which I imagine is hard to write. It has to be seen as a natural turn towards lewd activities, and both have to overcome their embarrassment and their close friendship of many years. I've seen too many fics where characters just pull their pants down and start fucking without actually overcoming the hurdles that are in place.

It's not quite like a Bea or Gregg situation with Casey though. Yeah I agree if Mae just goes OwO what's this it would suck, but in this case it's a dude and a dudette who are pretty close. Generally speaking there's always that hint of attraction in there unless a family like bond gets formed. Sometimes it's still there in spite of it.

NITW doesn't really have a unique concept like that. It can be replicated or continued without losing its charm. Hell, many agree the supernatural shit was the weakest part of the game. They could just focus on interacting with townspeople and people would love it.

I got the new issue of GameInformer in the mail. GameStop practically throws these things at you, since it's really just a big ol' advertisement for their store. They gave NITW an 8.75, which isn't bad. Noticed, though, that they used an image at the top from the demo. The cut content with Gregg and the stolen gnome.

During the flood, Casey took his dad's boat and floated it down the street, which amused Mae to no end. She used to go to his house and play video games, and when they were younger, they played a game where they threw stuff at one another's faces. Casey knocked a tooth out of Mae.

There are a few others, I believe. The fact of the matter is, they were very close. Remember, Bea wasn't in the band originally. All those years Mae jammed with Gregg, they were also jamming with Casey, who played real drums. They all spent a lot of time together.
