I've got to say, after reading it, that in general it works.
You've been brave in narrating in first person, it is actually a very difficult thong to write, but you've pulled it off. I would say you should focus a little bit more on what the protagonist, Nick, is feeling, since this is the essence of first person narration.
Also the list of the various to... to... shouldn't be to the... to the... (e.g. to the chest, to the stomach)?

I follow little/nothing of his works outside Pack Street but from what i gathered many of his works revolve around many characters in enclosed spaces (buildings, apartments), he has already done character deaths and, as you can see, he likes to tease.
