I really liked the first story, it had great characterization, didn't focus completely on WildeHopps while still giving it attention, the OCs were fun and entertaining, and the plot wasn't pants on head retarded.

The whole "Nick decides to protect Judy by hiding his feelings" thing was really out of left field though, especially with all that they saw and went through in that story. Even more so because Judy confessed to him.
If the author "doesn't like easy endings", they could have gone with a sequel that deals with the whole interspecies bias that Nick is so afraid of while having the serial killer investigation. But nope, we have to watch this slow ass burn of Judy heartbroken and Nick feeling guilt which leads to...what? Most likely Judy dating the Cottontail guy, the case gets dangerous, more angst, blah blah blah.

There's a number of pointers to have, but I'll just cover a general set of rules.

He originally did, it is not extremely noticeable like the rest of the rabbits but it was there. He didn't have fangs, and his claws were about normal size for a bunny. His first design was near perfect in my opinion; sure a little edgy but the scars showed what happened to those in interspecies relationships. I still can't get over how well Weaver dropped the fucking Mic at the end there. I was laughing so much when I read that for the first time, I needed to walk it off.

Anyways. I do know that after that conversation ended. The talked later on. (I think Spin) reached out to him once she calmed down/understood the severity of what she did.

And they had a far more levelheaded chat and they both parted ways far more amicable then the first time it happened.

So in the end everything bad was averted and we didn't have a rather sizable fan war on are hands.

What sucks is that his character was fitting for the story early on. It was an uncomfortable proof for prejudice Bunny Burrow residents that 'you end up like Max if you date preds'.
His being a rebel was also in-setting: punk enough to date a pred in the first place, and a black sheep afterwards.
But then the fucking hybrid shit happened, and too much of the focus centered around him.
Inter Shminter could have been good. Hell, when it ends, I bet if you just toned down the Morris Middleofthenight bullshit, it'd make the story 100 times better and bump it into the green quality-wise.
