I have finally came back to life to write more Chrysalis green, this time for /trash/. Started putting this together last September, but procrastination and the botched S6 finale kept me off it until now. This is my first attempt as using a throwaway OC as a stand-in for Anon.

Shout out to Splorch_Bucket for his excellent Chrysalis story(ies), which inspired me to add in a bursting bad-end for this one. Otherwise it's mostly inflation + a little bit of WG at the very end.

Good start to the day. The work itself is great. The only comment I've got is that the story climaxes somewhat unevenly. If you go for ending 1 everything sexually climaxes before the break, so if a reader kept going expecting more they run the risk of the story falling flat. Ending 2 is the complete opposite, with the previously established climax being relegated to the last phase of rising action and a new bigger climax added. Either ending when examined in a vacuum is fine, but it feels a bit weird when you can compare the two.

I'm looking forward to whatever the next piece is.

I'm mostly of the same opinion, though for me I usually like for the smaller parts of the head (eyes, cheeks, ears, and whatever other miscellaneous extremities the character might have) to get bloated out too. The Kuro stuff posted in this thread all lacks the implication of pressure, which is pretty much my whole deal. I need to know the subject has been explicitly filled with something like an actual balloon, and isn't just swollen or big in general.

Breathers turned me on to pretty much everything you listed, but in reading it I also came to find that every inflation Pablote does reaches virtually the same size and shape every time, with only the situation and character being different. Starts in belly, body rounds out, limbs expand, they hit about 5x normal size, then it's over. I mean it's great, and all the other details are great, but six times in a row it starts to get boring for me. In fact, I've noticed a lot of stories don't really ever focus too much on the shape the characters are becoming, with each writer usually having their own specific type and limit that they hit every time.

I dunno, maybe I'm the only one that wants to hear about the specific physical state of the character in a story (and have it be varied/interesting), whereas everyone else seems to concentrate on emotional/mental/whathaveyou aspects.

I see your criticism and you got me there, I usually don't think too much about the size, I try to focus on tactile details to convey a strong mental image in as few words as possible, as well as what purpose the inflation serves in the overall plot, but I don't really stop to think that I'm basically doing my personal preference every time, more or less. That's something I can try to work on, thank you.

It's mostly a visualization thing. In most stories I've read the subject seems to always end up totally circular, and/or very vaguely described after a certain point in the growth, whereas I would prefer the descriptions of what was physically happening to their body to continue throughout, which is helped when they retain some shape (like plot, good lord give me some big plot). Also despite my whining, I mentioned it last time R-Panic was around and he actually did change it up for the next story, because he is a based motherfucker.
