Super late reply since I fell asleep last night, but I think "Savage" probably always had negative connotations. I am pretty sure the Latin origin of the word use to mean "wild" or "of the forest", and considering the Romans prided themselves on being the peak of civilization, most tribes, especially the Germanic tribes, were probably considered "savages".

For Zootopia, the way that everyone, including Bogo, uses the word it almost makes me think that "savage" means wild or outright replaces feral. They thought that predators would be returning to a more instinctive mindset which, to prey, would mean they are turning back into killers. Of course there is the curious thought of just how much they know about primitive mammal behavior, since being super aggressive is not natural. Would kind of make sense if they don't know how their wild ancestors acted other than the basic food chain, since they all evolved at the same time and there wouldn't be any wild mammals to study.

That part was kind of a hard pill to swallow. Especially since knowledge of the Night Howler effects are there in Bunny Burrow, at least among the farmers and the Greys for whatever reason. As well as Otterton, once he found out what Bellwether was using the Nighthowlers for. So some other florists probably know the effects too.
I think someone came up with the explanation that either A) the Nighthowler plant was simply overlooked as a probable cause, most likely due to doctors looking more an biology rather than external factors or B) they dismissed it due to Nighthowler effects normally being temporary in flower form...unless Uncle Terry never recovered.

The first Nighthowler victims could have been the test subjects. Doug could have experimented until he came up with what he thought was a good concentrate, and then started darting random predators. It would also explain why a good majority of the missing predators were mega fauna predators, as Doug would have to be a little bit less careful with overdose. Of course, this is a lot of guessing and relies on Doug getting the serum right on the first try without extensive testing.

Well, I like Remmy and I like Henry VIII.
I imagined Remmy would look good in those clothes...

But above all, most people just remember Henry for his personal life, that he had two of his wives executed.
They speculate which wife was the best one, if the executed ones were guilty, how much harm he did to them...

But what they do not look at is that, even though he was an asshole, he was a troubled man. His father was the winner of The War of the Roses but his claim to the throne was questionable, so Henry had to keep the dynasty in power. Several noble families tried to undermine him, for as long as he had no heir they could replace him. That is why he needed the son so badly.
Both his father and brother died of diseases and Henry survived some (on medieval standards) deadly diseases himself. Once during joust his horse fell on him and the hit put him for several hours into coma. Every day after that he suffered agonizing headaches that lasted for several hours. This led to his change into a tyrant. An ulcer also developed on his leg. Modern doctors say it was a miracle he survived to 55.
Quite a baggage, and not even talking about his personal life. With all the dead children...

I see someting like that with Remmy, a guy that everybody spits on and blames, but few try to see it from his point of view. And as Henry has his wives, Remmy has his ships.

A, design flaw since the artistic team is not made by city planners.
