This will be a black mark against her for a while for a lot of people that already didn't like how she handled criticism against Max's design and the direction of the comic. The thing is that, at the beginning of the comic, Max didn't really have a real focus on him. He was introduced along with Jill, and both characters basically served as warnings of interspecies relationship tension in Bunny Burrow; Jill and her attitude was the personification of the prejudice towards such relationships and Max and his appearance served as the possible consequences should Nick and Judy pursue their relationship. Every time they clashed early on was a sign of this.

Then, for whatever reason, the focus shifts more and more onto Max with almost no warning past his growing changing design.

Long story short, Weaver made a parody poking fun of Spin's comic, drew Max Midnight but called him Tommy Twilight. Instead of thinking this was a clever thing, Spin tells her followers to harass Weaver, and THEN contacts him to ask if he was stealing her OC and for him to remove the comic. Weaver plays around with her for a bit before publicly stating that the comic was meant to be satire and a parody. Spin deletes all public complaints and her first five apologies before posting a final one saying how sorry she was for coming to conclusions so quickly.

Yes, at the start. But back at the start Spin didn't have as much attachment with Maxton as she does after the foxes attacked Judy, he never featured alone art, he never had much interest around him. He was, as you said, just a 2d character to display how Bunnyburrow treated interespecies relationship. As soon as he started becoming more and more prominent, starting with the fact he was no longer just a hare, but a hybrid, gaining fanarts, gaining solo arts and even becoming the focus, you should've bailed. Spin slowly gained the idea that people were there for him, and it being her creation means she'll undoubtedly become too attached to it. By the time Nick and him talked with the two hyenas people should've realized that. With the comic this should've become obvious, she's happy people share love for Maxton after she put work on IS, and she won't put anything out without him.

It's just that their insistence of them saying that they LOVE WildeHopps yet are keep giving evidence of "Hurr Durr Jack is Buck, therefor Judy has something for him" or just that Jack has something for her or even Nick (I don't fucking know which it is)

And their glacial pace (yes her artwork is amazing, so it takes time), makes me always forget it's even a thing. Yet nothing really happens, even when an update shows up.

The last time ANYTHING of interest happened was Judy giving Nick a Kiss. (That she initiated!) Yet her acting like it was a mistake or question why she did it, just made annoyed. (Because drama.)

Agree, I was probably too hard on Rem. A few of her stand alone comics are rather nice and good art even makes the cliché plot shine. I don't know how many of those are her own works, but my favourite comic is definitely a collab with some writer.
She's also a very sweet girl and one of the nicest people you'll ever meet online so I guess she's the most redeemable of the trio but goddamn, she needs to start working with decent writefags instead of doing what she's doing.

At least to me the only other "good" human story is "Sly Human, Dumb Zootopia"

The MC is a complete Marty Stu, and the author doesn't hide it at ALL.
He hits so many tropes, that makes you roll your eyes at it yet it still works surprisingly well.

I have laughed a great deal reading it, and the MC has a surprisingly solid character to him. And the tone of the story, and everyone's voices/characters are all very well done.

No MC/canon character shipping either. Fox is for Bunny, the human is for... I don't really know where the "romance" is going for him, but eh. It's not important.

I mean, I'd say Pack Street overall is definitely the best set of OCs for several reasons:

1- They're not just OCs that exist solely to be pretty/funny/whatever. They all work as a cast of characters that serves stories, comics, etc.

2- They don't try to meddle in the actual film. They're an extension of the universe, not a way to interfere with the characters that already exist. Like, I love Weaver but I really hated what's-his-face-Bellwether's-wolf-bf for that reason. Because he just felt like a cheap way to redeem/deepen Bellwether. In comparison, Pack Street is great because it extends the universe without trying to impose any view, headcanon or anything on the actual characters of the film

3- Mostly standard Zootopia design.

4- Actually good characters regardless of whether they are Zootopia OCs or not

5- Their personalities/situation/narrative still relates to Zootopia in a way - in this case, general pred/prey relationships. They got their own thing going, but they're still not completely separate characters that just happen to live in the same town and that's it.

I can't remember which it was really. But I THINK it was a technical AU of sorts.

In that before during and after the movie, the war was always there behind the scenes.
(This isn't a retro 1960's thing. Movie takes place in current year.)

Some time after the movie events is when everything went to shit.
