You guess it's got to be something pretty sci-fi since long distance would screw with communication via lasers or electromagnetism. Raises the question as to why weapons are pretty similar to your own if things are that advanced.

More questions you feel like you're never going to get a succinct answer to.

Izzy is curled up on what appears to be an amalgamation of sheets, plastic wrap and cotton candy. You know it's cotton candy and not fiberglass because Izzy has drooled a hole through where her head was resting.

May looks like she's barely holding herself together as it is. She'd already lost her dad, now her mom. She's already shown a lot of fortitude making it this far.

The cracks begin to form. Mayo starts to shake under you, her teeth biting into her lip.

"It's okay. You don't have to bottle it up." You tell her as gently as you can.

With just that, the flood gates open, May latches against you hard enough to activate armor's impact gel "E-everyone lea-leaves me!"

You go ahead and wrap your arms around the girl who continues to bawl into your chest.

It looks like a cross between a worm and a pillow. It might actually just be a pillow, but it has eyes and a little 'ω' for a mouth. She takes to it quickly and a few minutes later, she loses consciousness in your arms.

You get the feeling that you're in for a verbal lashing at the least.

Compare everything before the transformation to Naruto after he transforms and just becomes a red blob. It's entirely unlike the rest of the series and doesn't fit at all. The sequences like Pein being hammered into the ground, Naruto's Tasmanian devil attacks, none of that fits in the rest of the show, before or after this fight.
