RWBY is not a trainwreck. The story has always chugged forward competently with the biggest issue being the pacing and how uncompressed it all was, which considering what we learned of the production, is a miracle in how non-shit it turned out.

Volume 3 and Volume 4 were the best volumes of the series. Volume 3 in twelve episodes got us past the shitty high school setting, with the worst bits of it being the remnants of what Monty wanted. And volume 4 effectively got rid of what was left of it.

Everyone bitches about volume 4 doing nothing in terms of story progression but does nobody really notice how volume 4 neatly got rid of all the spots Monty wanted that kind of dragged down the series?

The show is rapidly improving.
