The previous thread had an anon amazed that a Fic reached nearly 300k words and is still going.
Yet since the actual story is crap and poorly made, long doesn't exactly equal better.

And since many Fic's have been made over the year (and more, kinda) Zootopia has been out, what are some of your anons favorite lengthy Fic's out there?
I mean one's that have been constantly good throughout it's possible long run. I am talking 100k words or more. 50k or more are also fine.

My personal 2 Fic's that fit that mold would be:
Upplet's "When Instinct Falls" A massive 430k word multi-arc epic. With some pretty amazing villains and a very solid romance between Nick and Judy. And they go through some rather impressive challenges and then some through out it.
And the other would be:
CiderStripes "Fallout: Zootopia" Finished with 560k+, it's an OC driven story that even though may take the Fallout and it's general idea's from the first games. But it's plot is fully unique. And the main heroine is quite layered and different, and his action scene's are crazy fun to read. Along with some pretty interesting relationships within it and who they evolve throughout it's run.

Born to be Wilde by Berserk88; at about 118K words, amusingly isn't WildeHopps (yet, it remains to be seen), has some pretty good humor, dialogue, and action. A new group is suddenly taking out the biggest criminals in Zootopia, and Nick finds himself pulled between his new life and his old life.

Quid Pro Quo by Anon8043; the 230K word friendship fanfic that I have to keep looking back at the genres to make sure it didn't suddenly switch to romance, Nick sets out the fully remove himself from his old con-life, debts and all, so he can stand by Judy's side.

Remmy's not acting out of character. He's always been a just-under-the-surface bigot who only acts agreeable when everyone's being nice and offering the olive branch. It's shitty, but it's exactly what a bitch like him would do.

Pack Street is something to talk about, with a sizable number of characters and a crap ton of fan content to go along with it.

But he isn't ALWAYS here, and things still go on. But when he come's back, of COURSE Anon's are going to talk about it. It's new content and fresh, it's like a brand new movie. When it comes out people are going to talk about it, but interest will calm down once it has it's course. And when it's sequel comes out, things will surge again.

(I don't read Pack Street, nor do I really care about it. But it doesn't mean I won't acknowledge it for what it does, and what it can do.)

Maybe it's just me, but the shift in attitude at the beginning of the chapter compared to the chapter before was a bit jarring to me. Perhaps it's just me misreading something, but he goes from being on a not so great date with Anneke that ends with him being compassionate and saying he'd like to have another date to basically what he was like in the first few chapters without much cause for it. I understand that the incident with Pandora, and the realness of the situation that's going on in Zootopia with the savage attacks, have really taken a toll on Remmy. His "firing," while definitely a shitty thing that Remmy is reasonably upset about, doesn't really excuse his sudden change in how he wants to treat everyone, and his feelings on where he lives. He gets fired for not acting like his species "should" in the manager's eyes. That's a terrible thing to have to deal with. But is he really gonna blame his problems on Pack Street and predators as a whole because of his firing, and the savage attacks? That just doesn't seem like Remmy. Maybe Remmy from the first few chapters, but definitely not Remmy from the previous few chapters. Of course, that's my perspective. Still, it just seems kinda weird that he would regress back to a shitty attitude about himself, his situation, and keeping to himself after all the progress he's made. I feel like there's something missing to truly justify his feelings at the beginning of the chapter.

Other than that I really enjoyed this new take on the chapter that started it all and I'm really happy we finally got to this point. Seeing how everyone reacts to the revelation of Mayor Bellwether and her sheep co-conspirators is what I've been waiting for since this series started.

The thing is, I wouldn't mind retcons in this case at all if it will help fit the narrative of the story so far. But that's sort of changed ever since after Remmy blew up on Al and Ozzy. Like I said, he's had a lot of character development, and this chapter seems to downplay quite a lot of it. And it seems to be because it really wants to keep the original comic intact as much as possible. I find that to be a bit of a detriment to the chapter.
