Cannabis thread; Advice for first time users?

For Valentine's day my fiance picked up some 300mg THC edibles from a friend who knew a dispensary or whatever. When she gets off work tonight we'll be taking them, getting some pizza and probably just watching jojo's bizarre adventure or something.

Anyways, I was wondering if anyone here is a regular user of THC products and has any advice for first time users like us?

What should we expect? Should we take amount proportional to body weight like normal drugs? Anything we shouldn't do while using or under the influence? etc.
