After a while of journeying, she paused. Most of the nearby buildings were rubble or partially collapsed, but there was one that was oddly different. For one, it was almost completely intact, save for some of the windows. Secondly, there was an odd noise coming from the the surounding area.

*THUMP.....Thump......THUMP...Thump...*

The sound made her shiver- it echoed and reverberated off of the other buildings, making it sound like the heartbeat of some large creature. She closed her eyes and tried to sense for anything, but couldn't. After a while, shewent closer to the building, past the broken gate. She couldn't make out the words on the faded signs, but she noticed something- the thumping dound was coming over outdoor and indoor speakers... there was still electricity in that building.

Before him was a slightly ragged looking girafarig, patches of fur missing, color faded, eyes a faintly-glowing blue that looked like they should be blind, as opaque as they were, yet they moved as one with sight.
