Question of the thread: If you had the freedom to produce a fatfur game however you pleased, how would you go about it? What would be the gameplay, story, characters, etc. be like? How would you win / lose?

I sometimes think about this but I never come up with a suitable answer. I always fall back to the text adventure RPG type games that are so common already. But those have been done to death.

A problem I find is how to make a game where getting fat is the goal, instead of it being detrimental (For example: Sonic2XL resulting in a death or just slowing down).

That being said, I did have some sort of idea about a mech game. Seeing as mechs could carry a pilot no matter the weight and if they got bigger just change out the cockpit (like Armored Core), but at that point it would just be a regular mech game with a fatfur theme to it so why bother.

Homebrew indie wise, I would probably make it something of a 2.5D side-scrolling Action/Adventure fantasy title for the NES or [may]N64[/may]; something in the vein of Zelda 2 or Faxanadu, Of course it'll prob have light RPG elements intertwined.

Pretty much the usual gameplay expected of the above-mentioned genre, with maybe some extra tweaks like a System Shock styled map system where you can add you own notes in or some shit and an (low-key equivalent at least) MM-esque time system that would keep the scheduled events thing, but without the time limit aspect of it.

MC would probably be some cutesy Dog/Bear-esque girl (probably even resembling Isabelle) living in some rural community amongst others of her kind. She's happily working as some maid for the community's mayor-esque figure then some unfortunate predicament happens that forces her to go on an adventure. Pretty basic stuff really, maybe some fanservice sputtered upon here and there.

Her weight would probably play a key in a good quarter of the game's puzzles and maybe the minigames would probably amount to things like eating contests or some MMA/Wrasslin shit.

A dating simulator with a full 3D explorable world filled with tons of characters to fatten up. Customizable player character, very high weight cap, the works. Maybe even some sims like getting a job, making money and customizing your house elements. Basically an open ended life in the city simulator with an emphasis on fucking fat furries.

Hey now there's an idea. Not sure why I never thought of it that way.

In that case I can probably think of a different game. What if instead of being the hero, you are actually the villain. The goal is to fatten everyone around you and maybe rule the world. Or perhaps there are certain individuals you want and you have to find ways to enlarge them.

Not sure what type of game would suit that scenario. Maybe a type action game/sandbox. You go around finding test subjects, then when you return to your base you do research and try to find different methods to fatten them up then use the results and employ it on others. Then occasionally you'd do battle with "heroes" who try and thwart your plans after they realize what your up to.

Legs aren't bad, but remember that even furry anatomy has to have a base in real life. As well, your line weight makes everything look super flat, so try using pressure sensitivity if you're using a drawing tablet. If you're not, try the polygonal lasso and fill tools to vary your line thickness, and it'll look a lot better.
