That's not the hard part, it's the distribution and coexistence of mods. Decompiling the bytecode is possible and easily done, but the issue is only one edit of the bytecode can exist at one time. Merging code is not really an option either. This is, of course, ignoring the issues with decompressing the archive, steam updates, and manageability.

What I'm working on is a way to hook critical instructions in ren'py's scripting language so editing the bytecode is not necessary. This involves lots of ugly internal engine stuff and is quite far from easy. If I can get it to work, it will be a massive improvement over patching the files.

Honestly, I didn't know the game was going to have "good" and "bad" endings but when i saw it, I was thinking "This can't be the end, this is just too terrible." and I was skeptical more than sad. So I played the game again and didn't stop until i got his Good Ending. Needless to say, after that, I didn't want to see another Bad Ending again. When you pause the game, there should be an ACHIEVEMENT screen in the options

And you can tell what endings you've got by the pain screen. Shadows are bad endings, full color dragons are good, and some other indicators for other endings/doing side characters.

I don't have that version of the game, but for the "list of endings" you can find characters on the main menu screen. if they're appearing like their normal self, you have their good ending. if they're just a shadow, you have their bad ending. if you have their normal figure with a shadow behind, well, it's rather obvious that you have both endings for said character.
