That fucker would fudge and exaggerate the anatomy of everyone of his drawings because he wasn't any good at coming up with poses and having his characters in proper perspective. All of his characters eventually got the same generic flat "Gumball" head design. And his rendering gave everything in the painting the same exact shiny texture that looks like total shit.

I would say he has a good bit of anatomical knowledge looking at his stuff, not from formal knowledge but probably from referencing other artist way of doing it.

I really do dislike that way of shading though, no cast shadows etc, it's like the character is getting blasted from the front by light. Looking through their gallery I don't feel they got a good grasp on light. I know you need to embellish reality if you want to make your art come out a bit better, and setting up proper light sources and cast shadows etc is hard work but still.

I would say Sunibee on the other hand is a pretty good artist. He has a discernible good style (subjective), a good idea of volume and weight/gravity, general understanding of light and shadow, pretty nice stylized anatomy. It sucks he's stressing out big time, but I feel if he's really getting bugged by his own skill level then it may just be due to drawing the same way each time. He's pretty weak when it comes to general material/textures, and his backgrounds aren't much of anything. He should just challenge himself.
