Not bad, sig, your line-work seems to improve bit by bit. The implication of fur and his hair are rather pleasing to look at.
However you need to work on your perspective and which details you want to show the viewer (which you already did with his left eye (viewer's perspective)).
For example the eyes and ears should be on the same level, because the head is not tilted (at least it doesn't seem so). The left ear also seems a lot bigger than his right one.

Have you ever tried to draw a real mongoose? You should definitely try drawing this https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/8/8f/Yellow_Mongoose_1_(6964624854).jpg
Even if your results will look like crap (speaking from personal experience, they will) you should practice eyeing what is there and not what you see.

Look for these obvious mistakes, try to reduce them with each drawing and don't forget to use a lot of reference material. Keep this in mind and you'll improve in no-time.

Thank you for the critique, however I have one thing to say.
I did base my drawing on a real mongoose photo (pic related).
The problem is that I tried to represent that peculiar "bulge" in the muzzle, that travels toward the upper part of the eyes, so the perspective is a bit screwed because of that, the head is tilted.
I've drawn and I'm still drawing from photos, sadly this time I took the wrong one and the result looks more shabby than it really is (not that is perfect, au contraire, I have still a lot to learn).
I should have also used a grey indian mongoose muzzle, since the ones from the photos are yellow mongooses.

That's great to read then! On the muzzle line you should try out different forms of approaching this. You could just implicate the bulge with a short line implication, which sometimes looks better than drawing the whole thing. Experimentation is the key to finding out what looks best in these cases.
One more question though, do you sketch your pictures before inking them?
