Ah, nah, I've got it fleshed out I could work on this for months without needing new material. Kinda surprised me, that last thread was all the inspiration I needed to flesh this out.

I realized last night in the middle of a shitty nightmare that my brain is fantastic at taking a bad situation and imagining it getting worse and worse, which it always does in those... i just have all kinds of dreams about authority figures berating and berating me and making increasingly desperate threats on my comfort until i want to hit them and possibly do. Or if it's slightly scary, I can immediately imagine 10 ways it could get worse
but when i'm trying to have a good time, like if I realize i'm dreaming, i'm fresh out of ideas. or if i really try to force visualization, i can't render the graphics.. my eyes get all squinty like there's a bright light or something, or i try to fly and just can't.
and it's not really any different awake, if i'm honest. when i'm not distracted by entertainment, I just imagine the worst things that could happen.. if I'm actually handling a real task, I can instantly think of a dozen things that could go wrong, and quickly prevent them.. which is helpful. but for positive shit I draw complete blank..
so I guess i could just write horrible depressing stories except I don't wanna. I'm trying to create escapism but something bad happened to my imagination when I started working for a living, and didn't come back even after I stopped. I can't sit and picture anything for more than brief periods without my thoughts getting lost.
also I can't improvise. same kinda deal there. everything has to be planned even if it's meant to be off the cuff.

That's perfect. My pitch for the final girl would be the makeshift leader of the women. (Say in her early or mid twenties) Knows basic survival tactics, has an easier time caring for Adam than most of the others, is very leveheaded for the most part. By far the most well equipped and prepared for this scenario due to her experience as a wood scout and a babysitter. Also haven't come up with a name for her yet .

I think the subtitle on the first issue will be "Our Last First Time."

But as there will be multiple issues after they meet again, maybe it will should be a broader title for the whole comic itself.

Part of it is set in the 80s, with some 80s references, particularly BttF. I keep coming back to the line from the Ghostbusters.

"The Traveler has come!" That would work as double entendre too. Also there will literally be a character called The Traveler. Sort of a Dr. Who mentorish type. He wouldn't be introduced until about issue 5 though.

Well now that you've gotten the characters' personalities sorted out I believe it's time to start asking ourselves what each of them should look like.

Here's the cast list for those of you who are out of the loop.

Something that always sat in the back of my head about this is what kind of clothes would they be wearing? My first assumption was that they'd be wearing clothing that's torn and muddy since it's set in a post apocalyptic society, but then I started to realize that they're gonna spend a lot of time trying to repopulate the species so most of them would get used to being naked in front of each other and rarely wearing much clothes at all.

A little more to flesh out the plot of "the Traveler has Come."

There's a war involving two factions, good guys and bad guys. Both sides have the ability to time travel. Motives for each are as yet undefined. The character "Tommy" is an important hero in the war, as are his wife and children. In an offensive, the enemy has attempted to erase him from not just the original, but many multiples of different time lines (there are infinite). His wife is a part of a counter-offensive to change that. It's not just sex, but falling in love, dreams of marriage, dreams of children, etc. that all help reconnect multiple time lines and help secure the character's status. Maybe a bit like the "ritual of chud" from Stephen King's IT. Shall I keep going?

Yesss I am liking the details here. There's something really nice about /ss/ with a cute mousy chubby girl, and necessary sweaty underwear moments.
Presumably something in the camp needs repairing, so the dividing wall canvas is the least necessary thing, and gets used, leaving them just awkward.. at first she's like 'turn around' then later giggling like 'no peeking'

i think sex should take a good long time to happen, but once it does they just start piloting nude because might as well, laundering all that sweaty underwear was taking forever
the catalyst could be needing to share the shower, or a sudden cold snap requiring them to share a sleeping bag, or some minor accident requiring one to medically service the other in a genitally-exposing way.. or maybe one of them talks in their sleep, or... something that ties into their personalities. like maybe sciencelady is the practical sort that only goes with social obligations out of practice, and would otherwise be a total awkward geek, and when she discovers a porno among his belongings she's just like "This kid shouldn't have to wait til he's 28 to lose his virginity like i did" and just has a straight up clinical scientific talk to him about it how it's not good for his pipes to make them wait til she's out of the room to masturbate.. maybe even with a medical diagram to illustrate. and then demands he just gets it over with to prove it's no big deal.. and moves on from there, letting him know IF he wants to, she's amenable.

issue 2- Tommy travels to the future, no aging. Beth an adult. /ss/ of the typical sort, size and age difference. Introduction of side characters, possibly robots/aliens. Minor world building.

issue 3- loli/shota again, except an alternate timeline Beth who is black. Exploration of various consequences of multiple timelines, worldbuilding.

I'm working on Filed Trip and one of the things I'm grappling with is how to pace the story.
Part of me wants to draw out the relationship of the characters, but commissioning comic pages isn't exactly cheap.

Currently have an opening in mind where the teacher and the student are both talking to the student's mom on a video call service, but it's done in extreme closeup. Gradually the panels pull pack to reveal they're talking via a HUD built into a mech suit.

This will still be a ways off likely to change drastically, but the basic skeleton-

Issue one- opens with a loli shota couple in a room having sex. Room looks like an office. They're enjoying themselves, but also seem distracted. After the sex (perhaps during), there's flashbacks to a dark stormy night. A group of adults are on a dock, trying to unload a few kids from a motor boat, apparently leaving them on an island. One of the mothers attempts to stay with them. There's a big argument over some vague disaster.. Kids in the background begin to show up to watch the commotion. There's violence. All the adults leave in the boat, kids abandoned on the island as more appear in the background. Cut back to the couple in the office. They finish up, get dressed, walk out the door. There in a class room with about twenty or so other kids, equal mix boys and girls. From about 4 to 11. There are sleeping bags and food containers on the floor, as if they've all been sleeping there. It's implied the first couple is just a part of this larger group, and the first to consummate their relationship.

Issue two- Early happy days on the island. Weather is nice. Other than missing their parents, there are no worries. They explore the few abandoned houses on the island. Play games. Begin the sort of sexual experimentation that later leads to sex- skinny dipping, peeing contests, playing doctor.

Later issues- Various sexual relationships as the couples pair off, or into groups, intermingle

Second oldest boy goes alpha, viciously attacks the oldest boy by surprise, leaving him badly hurt and cowed. Other boys could gang up, but instead come to the decision that they need to find adults instead. The next three oldest boys build a raft and try to make it to the mainland. They're not seen again. (maybe in much later issues?)

The now alpha second oldest boy consolidates his power. Declares all the girls "belong" to him. Has sex with all of them eventually, sometimes by rape. Some of the younger boys as well.

The girls are afraid of him, but still conspire against him. Sleeping with other boys behind his back. Scheming. He's completely in the dark about it.
