Why else would you write anything to begin with? To the anon who sold me on DMC4, does it get better?
The first two bosses were pretty boring and only posed a threat on the last phase. The basic enemies are either fodder or an annoyance.
Currently on mission 5 and the ghosts feel like they only exist to waste your time. They're slow, easily dodged, and have way too much health.

I guess high rollers are fun, and the game is incredibly responsive.

Not that anon but if you find the core game fun/responsive I suggest you keep going. If you really want, try downloading a save with everything unlocked and go straight into bloody palace or one of the higher difficulties. As a long time fan I did find the beginning a little boring, you don't have many toys to play with and the enemies are generally easy.
