What the hell powers Zootopia? They keep one environment constantly cold and one constantly hot and dry. They basically are doing micro terraforming and the amount of energy required for it must be immense. To add to that they are pumping a ton of water to the rain forest district to be sprayed artifically throughout the environment. Then there is power required to run the lights and everything in the main City which wouldn't even be a spit in the bucket compared everything else.

Now it looks like they sit ontop of a volcanic aquifer so geothermal is a possibility but not very likely unless they got hundreds of thousands or millions of turbines under the city.

Here's an idea: Judy, the whole night howler incident, Nicks job at the ZPD and even his time as a hustler and last name are actually delusions created within Nicks mind as a defense mechanism for how lousy the real world is. Zootopia as we saw it in the movie doesn't exist, animals don't live in harmony, its not divided into districts with different environments, it pretty much is a regular city like New York only its called Zootropolis. He wanders around like Don Quixote pretending to be something more important than he is. Eventually people around him are so concerned by his behavior that he finds himself taken to a hospital for evaluation and rehabilitation. From here the doctors would help dismantle each of his fantasies and get him to accept reality again. The catch 22 being not even Nick knows who he is, so they got little to ground him until they start getting him to remember.

I've read the first story. It's pretty much the same, but goes more in depth and Judy is savage instead of Nick. I haven't read them, but I assume the following stories in the series are a direct continuation. I haven't read enough of it to give a proper recommendation, but the first story is just as hot as the oneshot where Nick is savage.

So, I've seen a few Zoot fanfics have this here and there, but I'm curious; what is the general opinions here on confessing feelings to someone who is already in a relationship? Is it a no no for you, or do you feel that the person has a right to know? Is it more of a grey area if the person is simply "together" with someone rather than engaged or married?

There was a fic where Judy is unsatisfied with her marriage to Savage and gets it in her head to try and sudduce Nick but Nick flat out tells her that while he HAD feelings for her, the ship had sailed and he has moved on.

That is how I'd pretty much see it going with Nick in terms of admitting his feelings if he had them for Judy and she was married or about to get married.... he wouldn't. He spent much of his life hiding things that got to him from others, he'd probably do the same with his feelings for Jude rather then confess them to her.

This is partly the reason why it is a "no no" for me; confessing like that can, at times, completely disregard the feelings for the other party. My opinion of it is to let the relationship run its course, if the person I have feelings for at some point breaks up with whoever they were with, then I will go for it. If not I just hope they are happy, even if I feel hurt by not being with them.
It is especially a big "FUCK NO" if they are engaged or married. At that point, they have basically said "I am commited to sharing my life with this person" and people need to respect that, be happy for them, and not cause drama. At best, you confess feelings for them and they simply reject you, it might be a bit awkward for a while. At worse you could cause them to feel unnecessary stress on a day where they already have enough on their plate and it causes a shit storm.
