Found a little motivation to work on enraenra beach fic. Update starts at 246. Smut part soon.

So what's your guys' take on sex-light porn? I'm working on my first few stories right now, and they're just painfully clichéed smut that I'm writing to get a feel for porn (aiming to have something out for New Year's).
I have outlines for a few stories that are much longer and "plot-heavier" - these are the ones I really want to write, but looking at the statistics (check out Robert Baird's series on Sofurry story stats) it doesn't seem like there's much of an audience.

Done well, it can be better than typical smut fiction. With the right amount of build up, even the simplest sex act can top any other. That isn't to say smut is bad. I primarily write smut. I do put in a story, and try to develop characters through arcs and what not, but I also make sure to fit a sex scene or two into every chapter, and it's almost never softcore.

This is not bad overall, especially if you're new to this (assuming from the empty gallery).
As a porn story, my impression would be that the sex scene is cut a bit short. I think you could definitely expound on it a little more without getting gynecological. I can tell it's more about the hypnosis angle for you though, so maybe it's fine as it is.
The shy guy with an inferiority complex is kind of a recurring theme in furry stories, but I think it's done well here. I like it.
Other than that, there were just a couple of typos and awkward phrasings, e.g.

Also, I would suggest you use a more detailed thumbnail for your stories, since most people do judge books by their covers. You can just draw one good thumbnail for all of your stories, and just change the text overlay. I usually skip over stories with quick MS Paint thumbnails, personally (they aren't usually very good).

Thanks, I actually waffled on whether or not I should post the story because I agree with you, the actual sex part is a little short and I felt like the pacing was off but I was asked to post it anyway so I did. I'm not exactly new at writing, but I don't write many stories, I've just done a lot of RP before which has a different sort of feel than writing actual fiction (it's a lot more about writing as much as you can in a shorter time frame, having all the time in the world to write stuff feels weird in comparison and I tend to overthink things). Also by the time I was writing the end of this story I was sort of bored of the premise and I think it shows lol. Anyway thanks for the criticism and thanks for reading.

I'm a writefag myself and the best thing I do is draft out a couple of different ideas, and write them out a bit to see which one I like more.
Like if I'm writing porn and can't decide how to work things out, I'll greentext a couple scenarios and see which one works better.

Also writing a novel, but that's besides the point. Usually what helps me is re-reading what I've wrote, and looking for ways to reference an earlier event without getting too off track. It's a good way to keep consistent.

Finish your stories. Even if the story is shit, even if you can only write a shit ending, and even if you don't actually plan on ever letting anybody else read the story, you should still finish it. Writing nothing but unfinished stories will only make you better at writing unfinished stories and will only make it even harder in the future when your writing is good but you're afraid to finish anything because you know that your endings are still shit.

Finishing your stories will also help motivate you to start other stories. One hundred unfinished stories are a distraction and a reminder that you probably won't finish your next story either. One hundred finished stories are an accomplishment and a reminder that you've done this shit before and can easily do it again.

I think the best thing is to write it out so it's in front of you to work on, instead floating in your head.

Can be vague, over-complicated or the most awful stuff you wouldn't want anybody seeing but having it on paper to scrutinise is important.

A for the story, the way she talked shit about the lilligant and how she remained in control over her and the trainer to an extent...was absolutely divine. as a man working on a story about a lady made out of 100% smoke, I might be able to share a little bit. Kinda strange, considering that my lungs can't take even the smallest quantity of it, and my perspective is the person exposed to the smoke mostly.

In my mind, a girl who knows how to puff out a smoke would have very good/expert controls with their mouth and tongue muscles. They would know how to make various shapes/forms from puffing out smoke, to the point where the smoke could puff out for a bit and be sucked back in effortlessly from the smoker, almost making some sort of charm/temptation effect from it. Think of it like the caterpillar from Alice in Wonderland, except the smoke acts like a succubus to an extent. It would also be important to consider the type of smoke being puffed in and out. For instance, if a gal is using incense, it would have a much different appearance, scent, and flavor than that of an average storebrand cigarette. For example, in my story (and future planned thing involving her) her main smoke flavoir would come from a brand of white plum tree branches and cinnamon spice, which would make for one hell of a kiss with that 'omph' power. Mostly, I would focus on how such a flavor being emitted by the smoke tempt me to get drawn closer and closer until she seals the deal an my taste buds are filled with the taste of her smoke upon the kiss.

I disagree. If people see 10 of these in the corner of their eye over the course of months, they probably start to tune it out. But if they go away for a while and then come back, they'll probably think "Oh hey, I haven't seen a writer-thread in a while, I feel like perusing a good fic. Let's go see what they have available."

It's like when that one guy re-does those TF-general threads over and over again, there's no new fresh content so the thread spirals in activity and content-less bumps. The more it goes on, the more the people who might be interested realize there's nothing new there, so they stop participating, which only further hurts activity. Sometimes, absence makes the heart want more.

To the person who requested the "Scarlet in the Pool" prompt, of the Sequential Art webcomic, I wanted to share some of the progress I've made.

Though not finished, I thought it could be beneficial, for everyone, if I posted what I have written so far of the Sequential Art prompt.

Included is the set up leaning up to the sex that was requested. It's a bit wordy, I'm sure, though I do tend to do that when I get an idea in my head. Still, this is a rough draft, and can and will be edited.

What I'd like to know from you is if there is anything specific you want during the sex? Because now is the time to ask.

I'll be honest, I think the setup was better with just Art and Scarlet. Like Art is woken up by a swishing squirrel tail and gets a view of the situation. The prompt idea was he tries to play it cool but gets tempted to touch around and see if Scarlet reacts positively before going further. Not very keen on Kat just walking in and telling him to do it.

Kat's section makes a heap of the writing though and it's a shame to lose that 'bathing' scene. Maybe move her intro between Art and Scarlet's and make it so she gets caught up in pleasuring herself to beat the heat. She could overhear something outside, catch Art and Scarlet in the act and watch them from the window.
