Jesus Christ. That took you nine minutes to write. That's obviously a tiny little throwaway piece of nothing. And even in this non-story you stick perfectly to the same writing style, to the same character and behavior for both 'you' and Undyne, the same everything. This fits perfectly in with everything else you've been writing. I don't understand it. Why put so much effort into a lame video game character? Fuck.

What you're talking about isn't particularly difficult. You get a sense of what a character would do and from there the writing process is basically taking into account their traits and writing them acting accordingly. Likewise, maintaining a particular writing style is easy too. You just do the same little micro things in each story so they're all thematically cohesive, stuff like always writing in the second person (more like third person, really, since 'you' might as well just be another character) and always writing in present tense.

The answer is essentially that it isn't a lot of effort. Even if it was, though, I'd still put it in because I enjoy the character and getting a bunch of (you)s on a story massages my ego a little.
