Thucydides said that history repeats itself. Trace did everything in his power to try and bring his wife back from death and it drove him mad. Now hes in love with a Kendrin, a race which dies after their twentieth year and Flora is already 13 or 14. 6 or 7 years is all hes going to get before hes faced with the same pain which drove him insane, will he repeat the same mistakes? Or will the child ground his sanity? My bet is on the former, Trace already has shown his inability to let go, hell even with Laura, a Keidran. My bet is when Flora gets close to the end of her life he'll repeat his past mistakes and try to extend her life. Those who forget the past are doomed to repeat it. I remember reading this one webcomic where it had lots of fanservice but when they finally crossed the line and had an explicit sex scene, it ran out of steam really fast.

Teasing ant titillating can get you a lot farther than some easy instant gratification. If you're going to have porn in your comic you are pretty much going to be stuck escalating it and finding increasingly outlandish scenarios to put the characters in to the point where that becomes the focus of the comic.

If you actually want to write a story, however mediocre it is, limiting yourself to softcore / cheesecake is ironically more liberating because you can always fall back on "it's not a porn comic" if people complain that there isn't enough sexual content or that the sexual content or it's too vanilla.

I think this is why Tom bombards us with Wolf and Tiger titties and glorious footpaw shots. He knows it makes us want more even though he'll never give us more; because once we have it the magic is gone and it becomes just another porn comic which exists, for most people, solely for the porn. Look at Druids, it has a great story but most people aren't there for it, they want the porn.

Yeah Two Kind's story is goofy at times but you must admit Tom's art has really improved in 12 or so years and so has his writing. You can't say that of all furry artists, like say David Hopkins who somehow manages to get worse artwise with time rather then better (though he always sucked as a writer).
