Oh wow, it's been a while.

I kinda gave up on the game after I kept running into endless red error message loops when trying to use some of my favorite outfits/girls. It made changing clothes and loading saves unreasonable.

Tattoos design, placement and dimensions are based on the original Starfox adventures textures.

Unfortunately I didn't master the texture editing enough to color the front of her throat brightly and give her significantly brighter insides of hands/arms/soles.

She also doesn't have pointy yellow fingernails/toenails.

It's not my opinion that she looks best with those options, but being on model in R34 is fucking awesome.

It's the training that started to bore me to be honest, too repetitive.

I caught myself going through the motions because my damn maids didn't level up their night classes fast enough.

I did unlock millions of shekels with a savegame editor because fuck that bullshit.
But I felt that unlocking all classes for some sort of megamaid completely negates all gaming aspects of the program.

You'll need the DLC "[CM3D2 Shop] [Fox Ears and Tail]" for the tail mod to work but you should have that.

I also used the hair colored cat ears mod because the fox ears are too xbox hueg.

Also place the krystal mod file in the same folder as your other kemono mods (should be the root of your /Mod/ folder or /ModManager/ if you're using mod manager)

It has to be in the same folder as the file "mod_skin_folder_kmn_i_.mod"
because it integrates into the mods menu structure.

If you only have one furry skin as option then you have to search your mod folder named: âPâéâmâZâbâg and its subfolders
for all files with the ending .mod and move (NOT copy) those files into your /mod/ folder.

Yeah haha, that was back when I was still getting all of this shit set up.

I'd tried using blender between then and now, I might tackle it this weekend and see if I can learn anything new. All I did before was deform one of the fox tails to a more thin shape, but I couldn't get it exported from Blender into the game properly and didn't have enough of a drive to fuck with it.

New skins would be a no-brainer, but from what i've seen from the guy that did the Krystal skin, there's seams to even out and refine, especially with something like a cheetah or snow leopard pattern.

The HF patch comes with CM3D2Tool and a mod editor, if you've got .mod files, you can open them in the mod editor and export the png textures to photoshop and back, but if you've got .tex files, you use the CM3D2Tool scripts to convert to .png and back. If you need to pull data from the game files, Sybaris has the .arc editor that does that. HF probably has info now that it's back up

Yes and no. Most mods are swf files of prebuilt characters using assets from outside the engines. But proper mods with specialized loaders exist for anything from multiple blowjobs at once, to doggystyle as a position, to even a ranomized harem blowjob so that every time you cum a new girl shows up to take the place of the old one.

All of the updates it gets now are, to my knowledge, done by the fans and modding community.

Unfortunately no.

Mostly only your questions/answers are translated and you have to puzzle the meaning together through that context.

Some maid personalities have independent translation teams doing stuff on the hongfire forum.

There's also a script that copies the japanese text into the memory buffer so you can feed it into a translation site as you play windowed/on multiple monitors.

There's a lot of double and triple versions of similar maid styles, the default maids are also still in it. I didn't tidy it up.

Prepare for lots of mod not found errors. Nothing I can do about that as my mod folder has bloated to 1,4 gigabyte in size.

Some explanation:
This is the fox style furry skin texture from the furry mod.
The free color ones are called mugen textures.

You can just draw custom fur patterns on this template.
Making a new furry mod variation of that isn't hard.

The furry mod maker was so kind to leave the textures in the PNG sub folders.
I followed the example with the additions that I made in my repackage of the furry mod.

You can easily try out your own skin experiments by editing the sparkledog furry mod skin using the mod editor (pic related).

If you edit a skin you need two versions.
A regular one and one with 20% reduced brightness as shadow texture.

You can do editing on the fly while your maid is still loaded in the game.

After changing the mod just select a different skin, then change it back and CM3D2 will re-load the mod. No need to re-start the game every time.

I'm currently working on fixing those vomit pixels and I have a theory that it's connected with the toons file or with the way the .png is saved after editing the texture.

I reverted my skin colored fox tail mod back to an early state where the vomit pixels do not appear.
I'll experiment on step by step editing until I isolated the cause.

I don't know if using paint tool Sai instead of Gimp did the trick or using luminescense instead of brightness to adjust the color of the tail textures.

You can still see the vomit pixels on Krystals hips swirly and arm tattoos but they are completely gone from the tail.

I used such extreme skin color settings to make the vomit pixels stand out as much as possible so I can make sure the tail textures are properly fixed. (also it looks kinda hot and exotic cyberpunk like)

I'm afraid I'll have to remake the Krystal skin with Sai now since just re-saving the broken texture with Sai did nothing in earlier tests.

But I'll just plaster the tattoos over the old ones. I'll have to check if I still have the tattooless arms somewhere.

I also HAVE to work on those arm/butt transition areas, holy fuck they clash really badly with these color settings.

The tails shadow skin texture is still too dark at the base, you can see the diagonal line where the shadow is drawn by the game go over the tail and notice the difference.
The clash between skin and tail is too pronounced.

It's not as bad with brighter skin coloring and non-divergent shadow settings but my tail mod blended better when it still had the vomit pixels so I hope I won't have to do too much stuff to fix this.

I'm stopping working on this stuff for now and estimate fixed mods over the weekend.

Maybe a quick and dirty fix can be achieved by just doing a screenshot of the fucked textures, pasting in SAI and saving them as .png there.

Will have to test.

Anything else to change for the Krystal skin?

Size of the tattoos?
