The reason is the decoy spell doesn't have omniscience, it just said what Keith subconsciously assumed happened to Laura. nora makes it out like trace and saria were only together shortly (less than two years from what I gather) and it can be assumed not much time has passed since saria died and trace went nuts and eventually had his memory wiped (trace legacy is a very subtle name for an amnesiac by the way) but at one point in the flashbacks to his marriage you see a young flora who waves at his carriage? I know keidran only live like 25 years but did she go from a little kid to young adult in less than 5 years?

I'd figure so, although I find it odd that Keidran only mature at around 10 years of age. And assuming that humans live to be as old as they do irl that would be the equivalent of a human fully maturing at around 35.

Ergo if Keidran live to be around 20 years old and assuming humans live to about 70 then 1 human year = 3.5 Keidran years. (At least in terms of life span)

I think its odd that he would associate a Keidran with his dead wife.
