Well, it is certainly an interesting take on the usual pre-movie setting.
Usually it is Nick and Judy vs the world, and, in the case Judy is still not on the side of NIck, she is still 'good', someone who puts into discussion her own views of the world, someone who doesn't want other mammals to suffer.
This Judy is different. She is a sadist, someone who sees the preds as inferior and has no qualms in showing it.
So, for me, it is something that can be explored.

Judy sighed happily as she jumped out of the car. She took in the rich sent of the farm, the rich soil, the light autumn breeze, and of course the delicious scent of her Momma's cookin', “Well at least we'll be welcomed by hordes of bunnies.” A sarcastic voice said as he slammed shut her car door and adjusted the collar on his shirt, “And did we really have to dress formal? Are the Hopp's really a 'formal' type of family?”
“Shush Nick! I invited you out of the goodness of my heart.”
“Also because you didn't want me to be home alone on thanksgiving.” He responded in a baby voice as he walked up to her and poked her in the nose.
“No~ I thought it'd be nice for you to enjoy a good ol' Burrows Thanksgiving!” She said with a pep behind her voice as Nick smiled and characteristically crossed his arms.
“Well there's that little Burrow's accent making it's way out. You're just so darn cute!” He mocked her as she huffed.
“Plus, I mean, I want you there for the big surprise!” She said wringing her hands, as if she were a bit nervous.
“Oh! Lookit there, Hopps is anxious.” Nick said with a smile as she punched him in the arm.
“Just be on you best behavior, Dad is gonna be nuts that there's not just one but TWO foxes in the house.”
“Wait... two?”
“Yeah...?” Judy said as she smiled and quickly hurried into the house. A smile spread on Nick's face.
“My-My, little Miss Hopps, and that one Fox. I wonder who-ever it could be?” He joked as he put his hands in his pockets and followed her inside.
He knew who it was, and he was prepared for a magical and wonderful night with the Hopps. If that's what you could call it. He waltzed in carefully behind Judy the boisterous and loud rabbits hopping around as their surname implied. There was hardly any room to breathe, that of course, was until they noticed the big red elephant in the room. Err... fox... they all stopped looking up at him with big bunny eyes. It was a mixture of awe and the unknown.

'Bout time that you—“ Her Dad started around the corner stopping short as he looked up at Nick, noticing the fox's wide grin as he wiggled his fingers in a friendly, albiet, slightly imposing manner, “Err... what... well... uhm...” her Dad stuttered as all of the other bunnies started to walk towards Nick.
“Yeah Dad?” Judy asked as he motioned her over towards him, the two of them in a nearby corner as Nick started to back up. The bunny siblings were starting to get closer-and-closer to him, the younger ones reaching up for him.
“You brought another fox!?” He said as the two failed to notice as the young rabbit siblings started to grab at Nick's tail in the background.
“Another? Dad, his Mom is out of town! I couldn't leave him alone in Zootopia on a holiday...” She said as Nick started to pick up and place the random bunnies away from him, hooking one of the smaller ones on a nearby coat rack.
“Yeah but—but—think of your Mother!” He said in a hushed yell.
“Hah! You're so funny Gideon!” the shrill voice of her Mother echoed as they rounded the corner, the tubby fox holding a pie in each arm as she chuckled next to him.
“O-Oh! Nick!” Gideon said with a smile as he looked over at the other fox, the small rabbits using him as if he were a tree.
“OH god now they're both in the same roooooom~” Judy's dad said as he leaned in and whispered in her ear.
“Dad!” Judy said with a huff, “Relax, they've obviously not tried to eat anyone yet, and look! All my brothers and sisters love Nick!”
“Please. Someone. Save me, they never end!” Nick said as he looked around his vicinity to hang another rabbit, before falling over as they all jumped on him.
“Mary! Steven! Peter! Louise! Get off our company!” Judy's Mom said as she hurried over and started pulling them off, Nick gasping for breath as he reached for the air.

“Oh my gawsh!” Gideon said, almost out of breath, “I am so excited to meet you!” He said grabbing both of Nick's hands and shaking them quickly, the firmness of the shake almost resonating all the way through Nick's spindly body, you could almost even see his eyes shaking, “I mean I've got so many questions! Judy always says cool things about you, but I mean there ain't a lotta foxes round these parts. I mean on account of the bunnies and all—“
“Hey!” Judy and her parents shouted as Gideon's ears flushed bright pink.
“A-Ahhh... uh...”
“Ehh, don't worry about it. This is how we foxes get when there's two of us in the same room.” Nick lied as he waved it away, “I mean you know when we're not both chasing down something. Most of the time that something is money... or in this guy's case a snack.”
Gideon gasped, “Oh my gosh you already know me so well!”
“I feel this could've been a mistake...” Judy said as she looked at her dad and he shook his head so quickly his hat fell off.
“Well! How's about we get to dinner!” Bonnie said clapping her hands loudly as all of Judy's siblings cheered and ran over to the kitchen.
“Hey there hon.” Gideon said with a cheerful grin as he walked over to Judy and kissed her on the cheek, “Ya didn't tell me that ya'd be bringin' Nick too! I-I would'a dressed a bit better. Ya know?”
“Oh Gid, don't be silly, you came from work. Nick 'n I had today off!” She teased as Gideon's ears burnt bright red. He was surely easily embarassed.
“Don't worry, I wish I was in a tee shirt and jeans too. Way more comfortable than this monkey suit!”

“No-no-no-no!” Judy shouted as her ears flushed and she almost started to shake, “I already have two foxes here on Thanksgiving, my dad would most likely have a heart attack if he knew!” She said as Gideon stomped his foot and Nick fought a chuckle, walking over to the two.
“Hey! Big boy, I think maybe at Christmas time when I'm with my Mom and you two lovebirds are alone with all the hoppin' Hopps would be better. Deal? Plus, I don't wanna see Judy's dad have a heart attack, especially since I just met the guy! And he seems just. Ya know. So fun.”
“Nick, remember what we said about keeping sarcasm to ourselves?” Judy asked as he shrugged.
“Sorry, sometimes it just slips out.” Nick said with his characteristic wide grin.
“Don't worry Gid~ When the time is right we'll tell them okay?” She said as he nodded, walking off to the kitchen a bit defeated.

Nick simply nodded as she turned and walked off down a hallway most likely towards her old room, “What to do-what to do?” Nick said as he wandered around the small burrow, he was already hunched over and walking into the living room he had to almost crawl on all fours to get through the archway! It was quaint, that was for sure, pictures of all of the children on the walls, and a picture of Mom and Pop Rabbit on the fireplace mantle, Poppa holding a pitchfork and both of them with their characteristic farmer frowns, “Wow Judy couldn't be more Bunny Burrows.” He said to himself as he chuckled.
“Why is your tail so fluffy Mister Fox?” a voice echoed behind him as he squeaked in shock.

“I got my eyes on you fox, you better stay away from the salt and pepper! We Hopps run sour anyway!” He said as he scuttled off towards the kitchen.
“Oh wow,” Nick rubbed his head as he shook the stars from his eyes, “She was right. Salt and Pepper is dangerous.” He flopped into the recliner chair in front of the fireplace and twiddled his thumbs, “For the first time in my life I realize it's better to stay out of everything and just wait for dinner... and dream... of turkey. Sweet, succulent... delicious turkey.” he said as he licked his lips, the only thing he really enjoyed about Thanksgiving. After all, if they were hosting for a fox they'd surely make the meat. Right?”

Well I've seen Gazelle.” She said sticking her tongue out at the wall, “Seriously though, this is so teenage girl! Wait... that makes sense.” She said as she walked over to her old bed and sat down, laying back and running her hand over the sheets, “It's nice to be home!”
It felt like it'd been so long since she had fallen back and enjoyed the comforts of home. The smell of her favorite meals drifting through the house, the sweet scent of fresh sheets that her mom had washed. Even though she loved Zootopia, and enjoyed the chaos of the city, part of her always missed home. She supposed that was normal, even if she'd had to have been phased out so quickly, her room given to the older siblings so they had a bit of privacy.
She sat up falling to her knees and running her hand over the floorboard, picking it up and revealing her secret hiding spot. A smile spread on her face as she pulled out her old mementos. A toy badge from when her dad did the corn maze and she played sheriff, her old 5th grade essay on why she wanted to be a police officer in Zootopia, and of course her favorite pin of her Hero! None-other than Agent Argent, the secret super-spy who was also a bunny. She sighed as she held the pin close to her heart, “Ohh~ Argent if you could see me now! We've made bunny-kind a force to be reckoned with!” She said looking down at the pin before putting everything back in her secret hiding spot and replacing the plank.
It was funny coming back, going back through memory lane, she thought to herself as she left the room. She gave the postered walls one last glance, imagining the sky blue underneath before she made her way to the Living room, flopping on the sofa next to Nick, “So? Managed to stay out of trouble?” She asked as he looked over at her with an unamused stare.

Gideon shuffled nervously around Bonnie Hopps as she helped the smaller rabbits to put their own little mark on dinner. Stirring the potatoes, turning the biscuits, mixing the cranberries. All the while, he had on his mind, Judy. He couldn't tell them that they had been rather exclusive for the past six weeks, “Can you believe that fox!? He was eyein' lil Sheila like an appetizer!” He said as he placed the small rabbit on the floor and patted her on the head, “I'm just glad I can rely on you Gideon Grey! A good fox, just makin' pies and mindin' his own business! Ain't that right Bonnie?” He said as he walked up to her happily.
“Yes Stu! Gideon is a good boy, but he really should focus less on pie and more on making little foxes! We need more good little foxes running around don't you think?”
“Oh Mrs. Hopps you're embarassing me!” Gideon said with a chortle as he laid the ribbons of pie crust across the top, making a fancy lattice design.
“Well it's true! I mean I'm not 100% sure of that fox Nick in there. I sure hope he hasn't taken a fancy to Judy, I mean I wouldn't really want her dating someone like that.”
“Someone like that?” Gideon asked.
“Yeah! A fox!” Stu said as Bonnie popped him in the shoulder.
“Stu if she wants to date a fox she can date a fox! We can't tell her who to date, I just mean someone who is so much older than her! I mean he's practically a dinosaur!” She said as Gideon fought back laughter.
“Bonnie! His age don't matter! He's a fox with teeth and claws, didn't ya see what—err...”
“I know, I know what I did to her at the Faire talent show.” Gideon admitted, it wasn't his most shining moment but as he'd addressed before... his therapist had told him to speak his feelings. Not eat them... or be aggressive, as that was a pretty big issue as well.

“O-Oh? Like, maybe dating a goat or somethin'?” he asked as Bonnie smiled, walking over to him and grabbing the pie from his hands.
“Or maybe a specific fox.” She said raising an eyebrow as Gideon chuckled.
“W-W-Well I-I-I—Y'er mighty kind Mrs. Hopps! I'm sure Judy will find just the right guy too!” He stuttered as he hurried out of the kitchen and into the living room. His ears were so hot with embarrassment he couldn't stand it any longer. Luckily, he saw Judy and Nick sitting in front of the fireplace, “Finally. A room where I won't have to bite my tongue.” he said as he flopped next to Judy and inconspicuously took her hand.
“Having a hard time in there?” She asked as he nodded.
“I swear, your dad sometimes!”

“You know, it could be worse, he could just not be there. At least he cares carrots. I mean sure Gideon here is a great guy—“

Stu wandered in, hurrily hopping to the table and grabbing the salt and pepper shakers, moving them as far from Nick as possible, “Now-Now! We're all friends here aren't we?” Bonnie cheerfully said as she walked out of the kitchen, a large silver tray sporting a gorgeously crafted turkey-shaped carrot monstrosity.
Nick's jaw dropped, “Orange?”
“Carrots?” Gideon questioned as Judy clapped.
“Yep! Every year Momma mashes up the carrots and blends it into the most delicious carrot-turkey...thing... you've ever seen! Don't you mom?” She asked as she placed the 'turkey' on the table.
“Oh sweety thank you!” She said as the smaller rabbits started to hurry into the dining room. They each carried a small dish, they were carrot shaped each holding something different. Potatoes, yams, syrup-y carrots, cranberries, and of course all different kinds of stuffing. Gideon and Nick looked on with a slight disgusted sneer. It smelled good enough, but looked far from appetizing.
“What's with the face?” Judy asked Nick as he chuckled and shook his head.
“Uh, vegetables? Where's the good stuff?”
“This is good stuff!” She protested as Gideon chuckled.
“Really carrots? Cuz all I see are...err... carrots...” Nick responded as Gideon leaned against the table sniffing at the strange carrot creation.

The room went quiet. A slight gasp from Stu as he looked between Gideon and Nick with a mixture of confusion and anger, “Now Stu. Just take a breath.” Bonnie said as he stomped his big foot on the floor, his ears burning bright red as steam could practically be seen billowing from his ears.
“Relax!? Relax!! My baby is dating a meat eating machine! Which one'a you is it!?” He shouted as he picked up a serving fork and waved it around.

Bonnie waved at the two foxes, then gave Gideon a wink, “Don't worry! He'll come around, and sorry about dinner... I hadn't thought I'd been entertaining two foxes. Christopher!” She said as one of Judy's older brothers hurried over and she handed him the keys to the family truck, “Go and get these two foxes some Bug-Burgers I know it's not the best but it'll serve the purpose. Okay?” She said as Gideon looked down at his feet.
“Sorry Mrs. Hopps...” He said as she waved it away.

“I guess,” He said as he started to walk back to the house, “Just. Be good to her. She's special.” He said patting Gideon on the arm as he nodded before the chubby rabbit made his way back into the house.
Gideon sat down, handing Judy a slice of pie as she sniffed it and smiled over at him, “Rhubarb. You truly appeal to the country girl in me Gideon Grey.” She said as he wrapped an arm around her shoulder and she took a bite, sighing happily as she took another, “And darn do you make a good pie! Don't tell mom but I think yours might be better!”
Gideon chuckled, “Don't worry it'll be our little secret!” He said as she shook her head, placing the plate to her right.
“No Gideon! No more secrets! I should never have kept us a secret.”
“Well yeah to that,” Gideon teased, “But try as you might I will not tell Momma Hopps that my pie is better than hers. You think your dad was scary with that fork?!” He joked as she laughed.
“Gid, thank you for being you.” She said as she laid her head on his shoulder.
“I-I—“ He blushed fiercely, “W-Well thanks for bein' you.” He said as she looked up at the moon.

“Perfect timing!” She said as Christopher walked in with a bag of Bug-Burgers and placed them on the table.
“Oh! Mom!” Judy said looking over at her as she patted the young rabbit on the head.
“Traditions change, and if we've got two foxes over for the holiday it's only fair we feed them too! Now! Who's ready for dinner?” She asked as everyone cheered and hurried into the kitchen.
Nick wandered in from the living room, a small rabbit on his head as he sighed, “Guess I've been demoted to a tree, your children won't stop climbing on me!” He said as Bonnie chuckled and Stu looked on with a sigh.
“Well, as long as you've got your eye on them!” Stu said pointing at the other fox with a chuckle.
