>since some of you might be new to this i'll post the bios of the characters.

Mrs. Pig has a rounded, stout figure with long arms and very short legs. As a result she often finds it easier to go on all fours, and is a little clumsy when walking.

Personality wise, she is “the responsible one” – a gentle voice of reason to bring things back down to earth when adventures got out of hand. In the “Innocence Era”, the time when the pals all went on wholesome edutainment adventures in the backyard and helped their owner deal with problems at school, she was always the one saying things like “it sounds like this is serious, maybe you should tell a parent” or “I think you hurt their feelings, maybe you should apologize. You wouldn’t want people saying things like that about you, would you?”
She’s a compassionate more adult-like figure (where some of the others were usually more like playful kids) who therefore took up the “teacher” role, helping dole out lessons and keep everyone playing nice. She was often the one to deliver or sum up the morals and she always looked after the others.

Post-innocence, she still finds herself playing educator, just on slightly more racy topics. She’s often the one to turn to, both for the owner and her fellow toys, when “adult” advice is needed. Being mature and reasonable doesn’t put her above the awkward or embarrassing feelings from time to time but she does her best to handle them on her own. In a pinch, the demure piggy she can still teach valuable lessons, even if she’s red-faced the whole lecture.

Mr. Bun-Bun is an old, hand-sewn doll made of rough fabric, and has seen a number of repairs over his long career as a stuffed animal.

The respectable gentleman bunny has always been a beacon of tact and practiced savoir-faire. In the Innocence Era, he would be the one leading lessons about patience, decency, manners, and respect. Though he can come off as a bit stuffy, Mr. Bun-Bun is selfless and devoted to his friends, and has, on more than one occasion, thrown himself into the proverbial fire for them, willing to get himself dirty or even step into harm’s way to save a friend. He wears his reassembly scars with pride, and has always been a trusted, beloved member of the Toybox Pals.

Post-innocence, this posh bunny is still giving lessons as he always has. His lessons of respect may have taken on a slightly stricter bent, and his guides on etiquette may have become a bit dirtier to suit, but he’s as considerate as ever, and still has his manners and his class to carry him.

Princess Hippo (informally, Ms. Hippo) is an overstuffed, squishy-soft doll, a bit older than most with some notable wear and tear and a few frayed edges.

Her clunky size and broad head leave her form and movements a bit ungainly, but nevertheless she champions the “girly” aspect of the dolls.
Though she wears a ballerina’s outfit, she strives to prove that she is anything but dainty. Princess Hippo embodies the idea that “girly” doesn’t mean boring – she has a fiery spirit for adventure and loves to discover, explore, and spend time outdoors. During the Innocence Era, she was, more or less, the de facto “star of the show”, edging out even Colt for her courage and determination. She would often be the ones to lead the others into their episodic adventures, and her bold manners and interest in the world kicked off many stories.

Post-innocence, she finds that her new, changing form expresses herself in a slightly different way than she’s used to. Though she was never “too tough” to blush, her limits are more tested now than ever, but she’ll do her best to work through the embarrassment and be a capable Princess, no matter what the world throws at her.

Colt is a large handmade beanbag doll, with thin limbs sewn to a rounded body, rough-hewn from a very coarse fabric, almost sackcloth.


The rowdy roughhouser of the group, Colt is physically engaging and loves to compete, exercise, and play. He loves all kinds of games, from board games and go fish to freeze tag and hide and seek. His brash and loud personality is bolstered by his courage and warm-heartedness, and he happily tags along on adventures when there’s fun to be had. Though he can sometimes be stubborn or uncouth, Colt is a devoted friend who never sits around when there’s work to be done. During the Innocence Era, he led many lessons about hard work, honest play, and the importance of physical activity. When others got into trouble he was always eager to leap to their aid (especially when the girls were watching), though he sometimes ended up in trouble himself as a result.

Post-Innocence, Colt is as brash and cheerful as he’s ever been, excited for change and eager to see what new adventures await. Though he’s always been a showoff around the other toys, they seem to have been catching his attention afresh.
The playful pony plans to come up with all kinds of new games, and promises his friends all kinds of new fun. Will he go overboard in his usual way, or find something everyone can enjoy playing?

Ellie the Elephant is the largest of the dolls, specifically designed as a throw pillow and snuggle-buddy. She’s a little more worn-in than some, and a bit firmly stuffed.

Despite her size, Ellie is the gentlest of giants. Bookish, quiet, and unsure, the elephant loves to play quietly, read in her room, and stay out of trouble. In the Innocence Era, Ellie’s function was two-pronged: she was an intellectual influence teaching the joys of reading, painting, learning, and other endeavors some would scoff at as "nerdy”, but she was also prominently featured in episodes about self-esteem. Her friends were always there to help her learn to love herself, and to be true to her nature, rather than changing herself to fit in.

Post-Innocence, the already-easily-flustered Ellie finds herself especially red-faced at the naughty developments – including her own body, to no small degree. Her awkwardness around boys has only grown, and she now worries they’re paying too MUCH attention to her. Can she learn to be herself again, and what will that entail?

Lilly Goat is a mini-beanbag animal doll, professionally made, and by far the smallest of the Toybox.

A never-ending font of wide-eyed whimsy and youthful exuberance, Lilly Goat has no particular hobbies or interests – she loves everything! A social chameleon, Lilly will happily follow along with her friends, joining in whatever activities she comes upon (though as Ellie will tell you, she has trouble sitting still long enough to read much). Perhaps most of all she loves adventuring and discovering, and more than once the other toys have had to come after her when she gets in trouble or sets off alone. In the Innocence Era, Lilly Goat taught all kinds of lessons through her own actions, like keeping an open minding, trying new things, and never losing your sense of wonder about the beautiful world we live in, and the people you’ll meet. She also taught lessons through her mistakes, and demonstrated lessons about impulsiveness, patience, and better judgment. Sometimes she even served as the voice of reason, pointing out obvious and honest resolutions when everyone else was too involved to see what was right.

Post-Innocence, Lilly is as honest and unpretentious as ever, but her curiosity is fueled anew by the changes in her and her friends. Still a little naive and a little blunt, Lilly speaks her mind and expresses herself openly, rarely finding occasion for embarrassment.

Mr. Sheep is a somewhat narrow little doll with a puffy, fluffy wool coat. He’s overstuffed on the inside and seems to strain from the seams.

Personality wise, he’s a gentle but passionate toy who loves to make people smile. He wears his heart on his sleeve and while he sometimes gets his feelings hurt, or feels frustrated, he works through it with his friends. In the Innocence Era, he was often at the head of lessons about communication and self-expression, and how to explore one’s creative side. While he is predictably sheepish, he enjoys positive attention and loves to act, sing, and generally perform, a role he often was given in many plans and adventures.

Post-innocence, he’s the most gentle and unsure of the boys, taking things slow and blushing up a storm when topics get naughty. But if you put him under the spotlight, he can still get over his fears and perform, just like he always did.
Everyone has passion inside them, and sometimes the best option is to try your best and be earnest in what you do, even if it’s an adult lesson for a very small audience.

Post-Innocence, Ms. Tiger seems to have taken very well to her new changes, and her assertive, flirty nature sometimes dips into something more overt. She is, as ever, composed and confident, but the question now is whether she still holds her high-class trappings, or if her air of dignity will be cast aside in favor of new interests.

Nurse Giraffe is a tall, narrow toy of soft, worn-in felt, with a smooth design and relatively few seams.

The nervous, unsure, and rather delicate Nurse is an invaluable member of the toys. She prefers quiet activities at home to rowdy exploration, and loves to work with arts and crafts. With a worrying trend bordering the neurotic, Nurse Giraffe often finds herself trying to hold the others back from dangerous or impulsive decisions, and frets endlessly on the occasions she reluctantly agrees to tag along on their adventures. She is, as her name implies, a competent medical professional, but although she’s not a hypochondriac herself, she has a habit of over-diagnosing her friends. Still, her expertise often keeps her overseeing the group’s health, and any time someone needs anything from a seam restitched or stuffing re-fluffed to a limb reattached, Nurse Giraffe is more than happy to provide the care, with an excellent and gentle bedside manner. In the Innocence Era, she spearheaded a number of lessons, focusing largely on safety, health, and cleanliness, how to handle emergencies, and security issues like knowing who you can trust and talk to.

Post-innocence, the Nurse finds herself in the uncomfortable position of having to oversee a group much changed in both mind and body, helping them deal with their new physical changes, split between her own awkward discomfort and her duty to the well-being of her friends.

Mr Wolf was introduced in the second season of ToyBox Pals, when they started running thin on blameless plots and needed a “villain” character. It was revealed eventually that he was the reversible form of Mr Sheep*, but seemingly with a mind and drive all his own. He played the archetypal bully and bad guy, and enjoyed being mean to the other toys until he was eventually thwarted, always resisting the morals of goodness and friendship.

Post-innocence, Mr Wolf’s nature has become a mystery. Is he a part of Mr Sheep? A split personality? A disguised but conscious persona? Or has the magic that made them ripped Mr Sheep and Mr Wolf at long last into two physically discrete entities, no longer sharing the same space?

Whatever the case, it seems Mr. Wolf’s diminished exposure to the world has left him on the whole more naive than the others, despite his attempts to play the bad guy. But then, he always was a bit bumbling.

Trust me, Mister E Anon editing my butchered grammar and speed typing is nothing short of a feat of godlike writing prowess. He is a champ for taking it so seriously and rewriting all our details and back and forth into a proper edited story.

I'm glad you liked the alternating perspectives. We did a sort of back and forth bit. I wrote most of the original Ms Tiger while E Anon did Mr Wolf; which is why you probably notice their writing feels different when it switches character.

I'm still hugely jealous of EAnon's ability to keep in character. I was trying to keep Tiger as flirty seductress and failed in many places. But I reread his parts and just see scene for scene proper Mr Wolf.
