I liked them misterE. Obviously such a title will be problematic for many readers, considering the subject, so they will not even try to read. I suggest you leave it as it is, your pet project, writing chapters whenever you feel like it. In the meantime, to not become burn out by it, you can write other fics.

I just read them. Neat and entertaining, but I get the feeling you're kinda pushing the character onto the reader, y'know?
Like, if someone introduces(and keeps on presenting) a character--even a protagonist--casually and in a good realistically paced dynamic with everyone else around him/her, the character will be easier to relate to.
People will lower their defenses, so to speak, and let the character into their hearts, because there isn't some figurative stage (or narrative focus) that throws the protagonist into the viewer's/reader's face.

(Think of it like this:
Instead of going "Hey! This...This is an OC! BAM! FOCUS on it, because it's INTERESTING!" rather go with a real casual and almost laid-back presentation along the lines of "Check this setting out! Kind of cozy, huh? ..oh yeah by the way there's this hyena character who's kind of intense sometimes..")

I know it might sound absurd, but it's actually a very core principle in dramaturgy.

tl;dr
Sometimes, making the protagonist "fade in" more with the background/others, actually makes her stand out more, in being more likeable and relatable.

I see.. Well, if I were you I'd first and foremost throw what everyone else is saying out the window, and search myself for how I feel about the character and her role in the storie (or other stories, potentially!).

..then--provided I liked her enough to invest time and creativity in her--I'd start considering developing her further.

Some tips regarding this might be to expand the cast, thus creating a natural way for the narrative focus to ease out onto others (thus making her interesting because of her merits, instead of the story's focus being on her).
Another thing could be to keep the current chapters as introductory chapters--possibly after some editing/shuffling/scrapping/whatever you feel is best--and continue the story with going back in time to an earlier Becca.
I.e. the current chapters are the status quo, but serve as prelude to her real story, the prequel to the status quo.
(Doing this not only gives you kind of a "free pass", so to speak, but can often jumpstart some rusty creative gears, getting the idead flowing again.)

Don't worry, bunner. The world would be poorer without you in it as a writefag, so never stop.

I've been reading them, and enjoying them.

Matter of fact, I never had anything to do with this particular character until you started writing this stuff. With the way you write her, I actually kind of indentify with her a bit. I hold myself to pretty high standards at times as well, and if I feel like I haven't met them, I tend to beat myself up about it. I see a little bit of that in her character, at least in your stories.
