Walk past the gun checkpoint from the entrance to the yellow section and to the right of the door to enter the tower in the darkness there'll be a button.

This will shut the door in front of you, turning 1 off... and turning 6 on.

Yes, actually. The first hostile robot on floor 4 has a vent behind it which leads back to that. It's not necessary for anything, but it saves a LOT of time. It's a one way trip, though.
