To be fair, not only is Weaver not the only such person (for instance, Labjer drew canon characters roughly once), the entire thread focuses largely on fanon, spinoffs, fan characters and OCs. What happened to us?

We used to be a happy band of people who enjoyed Zootopia. CCs were welcomed with open arms and not ghettoized for not being a famous DrawFag or not the most glamorous WriteFag. Yeah, not every picture was up to the standards set by Alec, or every story as good as those written by ClunkBot, but it was warm and comfy and everyone was root for our little movie.

For some people, its fun to argue and start arguments, and things like "this content creator sucks" or "everyone who isn't X is bad" are good ways to get attention. That's fine! Take it as an opportunity to think constructively about what's good about this content creator, or give comparison to other content creators like X. Those content creators will really appreciate seeing people discussing them critically.

There are people who want the threads to be about talking about Zootopia and getting better at being creators and geeking out about art or fics or things made by other people. If you start that conversation, others will join, and others will see its an effective means towards having a conversation.
