The dilemma I face with artists like these is that their cheesecake, when drawn well, can be really sexy and appealing in their own way, but it also make me wish so bad to see it go explicit. Problem is, if that happens, there's that chance the magic would go away and the art lose its main appeal.

I really like solo nudes and cheesecake. Not everything needs to be intense penetration with fluids squirting out of every orifice, but that is good every once in a while. I like the details to be left to imagination, it is much more satisfying.
Full-on porn might be easier to consume and arouse, and some people prefer that, so I don't judge.

As far as creating goes, I also prefer nudes and cheesecake. You can really experiment with posing, movement, clothing and whatnot. Quite often, when people who draw good suggestive art don't draw anything explicit, it's simply because they're bad at drawing genitals. In the sections I've began to catch up on Rick has raised the bar of his art and kept it looking nice throughout his days.

The comic has absolutely gave way to a long period of "This is MY passion project" where Rick's care of world building is out the window concerning magic restraint, and sadly this carelessness makes the reader feel apathetic trudging through the thousands of pages online whenever a magic arc occurs.

If you like a group of characters (I would die for King) and are attracted/attached to them the comic will keep you entertained as Rick is a very very careful writer who genuinely puts thought into his writing (even if it seems terse in professionalism on occasion)

Frankly, I'm biased as anyone else is, but I give it 2.5/4 Roger Ebert stars for being a furry webcomic that is cute, stylized, oddly sfw throughout the entirety of its pages and for it being longer than anyone asked for it to be.
