Rolled myself a cougar a while back (I've been lurking moar). Works as an electrical lineman keeping the power on in the various districts of Zootopia. The heat pumps between Sahara Square and Tundratown keep him particularly busy.
Imagine a tall, wiry male cougar in Lineman's safety gear and a hard hat. That's me.
He lives on Hill Street on the edge of Downtown and the Rain Forest District, and likes to take trips into the woods and hills that border the area on his days off.
In my headcanon, that's where he bumped into the female deer. She was also out for a walk, enjoying the quiet above Zootopia's busy streets, and didn't notice him at first since he moves so quietly.
But when she did, she couldn't stifle a startled little gasp and she flushed, her hand going to her mouth as he looked silently at her.
And then my mind tends to run with that for a while.
You know how it is.

They are the same. They say they never changed the characters, only the story around it and the lore (no collars, etc). Judy was still the optimistic "never give up" character in the original script.

Id say nick is smarter than judy, but judy's philosophy of never giving up
allows her to succed and motivate others to also succed.

Hey everybody!

Sometimes things get heated, like when your parents call you when you're on a date with a fox, and sometimes you need to cool down, like when you're screaming at traffic. Will Nick and Judy get their temperature just right? Here's "Hot and Cold" by YetAnotherWriteAnon, chapters 3 and 4!

Originally TT was based around a single week, but that left content creators something like two or three days. So we've moved to a two-week system. A few days to collect themes, a few days to vote on them, then a week or so to create the actual content before the cycle begins anew.

The problem with Hyenas. Hyenas are cool, they are large, extremely intelligent, highly social, omnivorous pack hunters that have some nifty stereotypes associated with them. And frankly there just aren't that many well known pack cool pack animals to choose from. However when you look closer hyenas have some cultural and physiological eccentricities that when anthropomorphised take a headlong nosedive so far down the freaky fetish hole that you are guaranteed to squick 95% of your audience.

You literally have an extreme matriarchal society where the chicks have dicks and are half again larger than any male. There is no way you can incorporate them into an anthropomorphic society and not be accused of playing to fetishes without either figuratively or literally castrating them, which just goes a different direction, you cant win.

regardless, I wish you the best with Aafiya, seems like a cool character.

Okay so this is my first time writing something like this....

Dingo that lives in a small waterside house at the Marshlands. The house itself isn't too bad, small and easy to maintain, the cool ocean breeze the rolls out from the bay makes air-conditioning redundant, which is a good thing considering the air conditioner is grossly underpowered and sucks energy like a vacuum cleaner on steroids. The place is hell during winter though, the winds turning into icy bellows that strip the house of any warmth. As soon as he can, he's planning on buying a nice place at Delta Road; nice and warm and right by the sea.

He usaully takes the ferry across the bay to the canal district where he takes a tram to Fog Street, he works at a small but well-known and regarded Window Cleaning service, doing jobs all around the city; typically Downtown, cleaning the massive sky scrappers that choke the heart of the city. Ironically he's terrified of heights, has to close his eyes when they ascend the sides of those massive buildings, but when he has his tools in his paws, he becomes cut off from the rest of the world; only focusing on his work; like a sculptor he pays attention to the most insignificant of details.

Sure the pay is measly, he typically pulls twelve hour shifts just to make ends meet, but being so high, higher than a Giraffe, seeing the sun set or rise, it makes it all worth it. Still, a job closer to the ground would be nice.

How about that

I think just making the females a bit more masculine than the average hyena male but displaying feminine traits through fashion and other means makes sense. They might still come off a bit fetishy because by nature they would be kind of butch and they would still be kind of matriarchal I guess.

They would probably be less hated here overall if it wasn't for Becca.

The top is looking down -fondly- at him, which I like a lot. Seems like a healthy dom/sub relationship there.

A alpine chamois named Caley Agnelli who works in predator psychology, despite being prey. Due to his upbringing, he harbors an odd hatred towards predators.

Still figuring out how he ends up in Tundratown despite chamois migrating towards forests during colder winter climates, or how he ended up working in psychology and stuff.

Honestly I'm still debating just what to do with him. I rolled that he lives in Taiga Street, right on the edge of Tundra town right next to Downtown.

If I was a drawfag who could do stuff with him it'd be easier, or a writefag who liked to include OC's into things.

Robert Emerens, 20, Northern Raccoon, Male.
Prefers to be called "Rob".

He lives alone on Trip Street, in a house too big for him. His father and mother retired early, and are now travelling the world. There are often empty rooms, lights never on, doors never opened. He only really uses a few rooms like his bedroom, the kitchen, the living room. It is always lonely in the house. Rob himself is introverted, and the general distrust of Raccoons - 'Trust a 'Coon, regret it soon', does not often help. He goes out as rarely as possible, only going out for special occasions, or the monthly trip to the grocery store. He has his fathers car, and he has a drivers license.

He works as a blacksmith, based out of his own backyard, continuing the family business. His father left him his tools, forge, stockpile of materials, and most importantly, his connections. The Emerens Family has been blacksmiths for generations. Rob makes weapons and armor for SCA/HEMA groups, and their members often. He also takes custom orders, such as fancy spoons, kitchen knives, gates, medallions, if it's iron or steel, Rob will make it.

He is interested in HEMA, but doesn't study under a master. He is somewhat self taught, but would very much like to study with a group, and under an instructor. He dreams of going out with friends into downtown, places where the nights never end, where drinks don't stop coming.
Except he has very few friends, most of whom are online, who don't know he's a Raccoon. He simply has little to no will to go outside to make the effort to make new friends, feeling that every effort would be met with failure. After all, who would trust a Raccoon?
>>

I already did this, but I want to expand on it:

A Siberian Weasel who's name is Deacon Stoatley, who lives in a small basement apartment in Downtown Zootopia's Otterdam neighborhood, he's been a Zootopian native for 22 years. His apartment is fairly spartan, with the main room serving as bedroom, living room and a small corner serving as a kitchen, and with the two extra rooms he has serving as his bathroom and small gym respectively. Deacon lives in Otterdam because of how close it is to Zootopia's many bars and stores, and because of how relatively cheap it is compared to downtown proper.

He isn't in a romantic relationship at the moment due to his focus on his career as a boxer, a career which isn't strictly legal due to the fact that he fights in an underground boxing ring in Snowcastle Way, Tundratown. The main reason he does this is because he wishes to save up enough money to open up his own legal boxing establishment, and fighting is the best skill he has. He's been boxing there for three years now, and has won more of his fights than lost them, at least when his opponent is the same size as him. Lately he's been training so he can take on larger opponents and gain better pay from winning against them.

When he isn't staying home for exercise or living reasons, he's often found spending his nights at bars and experiencing Zootopia's night life. Despite his physical lifestyle, some of Deacon's hobbies includes reading science fiction novels and collecting western movies. He does hope to settle down someday in the future and have a family of his own, but until his first dream of owning a successful gym and boxing establishment comes to pass he's going to continue boxing.

I think this came out pretty well.

I'm not sure if I can call it an AU or not, but it certainly deviates like one. They're split up as pred supremicists begin terrorizing the city because of a pact made with Nick by the preds and they're both trying to unravel and destroy the violent pred movement, him from the inside and her from the out.

its a heavy work in progress with just shitty stream comics with all it has going for it so far but I think it should be fun. Pretty dark with some comedy and fluff thrown in.

I can't remember, do they show any officers actually carrying any kind of sidearm, non-lethal presumably, in the movie? Aside from Judy's stungun.

I'd imagine they have pretty cool equipment considering the population they have to deal with. Probably one-size ziptie-style cuffs, tranq darts and tasers of varying power for different size classes. Ballistic armor for all sizes too. The police cruisers look huge, probably so they can fit at least one megafauna suspect in the back if needed.

I can see Nick using a .45. A tried and true round, proven over and over again. Older than the newer stuff but still proves its mettle and gets to hang with the new kids.

I definitely see Judy using a 9mm. High capacity magazine and rapid trigger finger; lots of energy in a short amount of time, with low recoil to boot for a small body. Made for bunnies.

Earlier I got Ocelot living in the Nocturnal District and working in the Haymarket, I'll summarize now.

Oscar grew up as an only child in Pensington, a quiet suburb of Zootopia with a community of mostly cows, horses, and other ungulates. There were a few other predators, a nice family of badgers down the street, an older marten lady who would always give extra candy out on Halloween, but none that were in his age group. Growing up he was never really picked on, but then again he never really 'fit in'. Being smaller than and different from the rest of the kids ensured he was the last one picked in dodgeball.

If this bothered him, he couldn't remember, as his childhood memories were of things like playing World of Boarcraft late into the night or of his father letting him take apart the old Carrot II he kept in the attic. As he moved through the grades he fell in love with software tinkering, after the disaster that was the release of Meadows GrandViews, he tried out other operating systems for his computer, like PAWNIX and BSD (Barkeley Software Distribution). He taught himself the basics of the structures and interpretations of computer programs, and before he knew it he was on his way to college to formalize and refine his budding education.

Unfortunately, college didn't last long. The expectations were so different and the pressure too great, that he dropped out after only his second year. Unsure of what to do, yet unwilling to give up everything he had been working towards, he decided to volunteer for the ZooCorps to give himself some time to work out how exactly he wanted to proceed through life. After two years he got a job offer from one of the food banks he often delivered to; they wished to hire him on as the assistant system administrator after they were impressed by an impromptu network configuration error diagnosis a few weeks back. It wasn't a multi-million development contract, but he was happy to have finally found a foothold in life.

I actually wouldn't be surprised if in the post-rewrite Zootopia conventional guns aren't really a thing.

I think a lot of cool non-lethal gear would have kind of a neat aesthetic. Lots of pneumatic launchers and near-future-tech electrolasers or something.

I've always kind of imagined them as being a little ahead tech-wise, considering the CITY SIZED HEAT EXCHANGER WALL. Like, we never see the area with those big high-rises, maybe it's just a touch cyberpunky in there where the megacorps live.

I've actually put some thought into this. Lethal firearms exist, but are really hard to get a hold of. Generally you'll only see it for, like, SWAT-tier operations and above. But criminals are always looking for ways to tip the scale, leading to fun stuff like weapons that fire the tips of porcupine quills with pressurized air or some shit.
>>
>>4117577
What about a hold-out type weapon that could feasibly injure most mammals save for the max size ones like rhinos and elephants?

Judy gets cornered, perp closes within slashing range, and whoosh, she whips out a single shot .50AE. Like a deagle brand deagle, but without having to accomodate holding a seven round magazine and shaped more like a small blunderbuss or something.

Alright, here we finally go.

20 going on 21, Cremella (or Creme for short) is a long-eared jerboa, living on Flock street in Savannah Central but was originally from Sahara Square. Her apartment, a bit too big for her size, does not exactly feature a theme besides a few pastel colored things and a small corner dedicated to her passion; Art.

Her job, which is a waitress at a tea shop, is located in a small area of Fog Street in the Rainforest District. Not exactly a fan of the location due to the weather (she's TERRIFIED of thunder), she only works part time. Why even apply there? The half-off tea is nice. However as a nocturnal mammal, the constant shade of the trees really helps her out so she'll put up with it until a better opportunity appears.

Personality wise Creme is quite the hermit and only leaves her apartment when work calls. The few friends she does have are very cherished. Her memory isn't exactly the best when it comes to people but she has an assortment of random trivia at her disposal. Don't be worried if she falls asleep when talking to you; It happens quite often. Is it lack of sleep? Is it something else? Who knows. As long as you don't mind her constantly bound in a blanket or hiding in your shirt, you have a loyal pal.

Actually, for pepperballs and the like I think she could really use some kind of crossbow. Most of her strength would be in her legs, she could cock a crossbow VERY fast.

A little wrist-braced slingshot is a nice visual too.

>I imagine she'd have a much smaller launcher for less-lethal shots of pepperballs or what have you.
Perhaps not. There's some BIG mammals in Zootopia. A normal-sized pepperball gun for Judy would be shooting tiny little BBs of powder compared to, say, a buffalo or something.
No matter how potent the contents, that's not going to do squat.
So yeah, she'd have to lob something the size of her fist, or her head, to give pause to a mammal like that.
The sheer impracticality of it would actually be a good reason -NOT- to issue equipment like that. Instead, issue a radio, training, and orders to get the fuck out of Dodge at maximum speed while calling it in. Let the lions and elephants handle the buffalo, eh?

Not a bad second attempt, Anon. They're the first outright criminal character I've seen made here.
One thing, though. Zootopia is meant to be a contemporary world in many ways - cars, computers, emergency services. Your character and little gang could NOT rob banks, and remain in Zootopia.
You hit a bank and a world of hurt (and Feds) comes down on your head. It's an entirely different thing, multi-jurisdictional, and mammal-hunts like that don't EVER stop.
Your guys (and gal) would need to stick to robbing rich folks, private businesses, swindling elderly widows, scams and the like.
Good times!

I actually really wish the size differences in Zootopia were a little less. I may have a slight little obsession with cute rat and mouse characters, and I don't want them to be so tiny that I could accidentally step on them.
Smaller, yes...think Erma and Toki from Albedo. A size difference like that between Nick and Judy.

Plus it could lead to a scenario where Avo notices Betty's fondness for Remmy, and flirts with him to get under Queen Bitch's skin. Win win for everyone.

I don't think this has actually happened, for one. The only time it really comes up is as a past thing. I've noticed that it's extremely common to write Judy as being extremely desirable--which is true--and basically being overrun with prospects while Nick, despite being equally desirable basically never has any.

Yeah. Now, if I had interesting ideas or plots...
