She did some stylish stuff in the Yellow trailer.

Really miss Monty's creativity; the way he animated Yang using her weapon's recoil and showed her with a more 'stable' boxing style. Also Weiss' fight against Banesaw was pretty good too.

One of the things that worried me about the Volume 4 sneak peek was that Ruby seemed to just use Crescent Rose like a really long sword, rather than a scythe like in the Red trailer.

There is no earlier form, Weiss was never a racist, and if anything we'll see her conflicting with her family directly to make the distinction stark.

At no point did Weiss actually base her prejudice on racism against Faunus. She hates the White Fang for terrorizing her and her family. She disliked Sun for being a criminal and a stowaway. She doesn't even hold Blake's membership in that very same organization against her because she's easily able to see past it and realize that Blake herself is a person trying to do good.

Imo, Monty's whole thing was Rule of Cool+Speedy Creation process over really well animated scenes. I think what also appeared to break the fight tempo was the camera work and re-using animations.

That's definitely not the only reason it existed. If Monty wanted to just animate fights, he could have easily. It was his baby and he could have just made Dead Fantasy but with OCs and nobody would have called him out on it at all.

He gave writing to other people, told them to watch specific things to get an idea of what he wanted, and set up a world specifically outside of just fighting.

I think he'd like a lot about it, but he'd also be really eager to get back in there and put his style of things into some of the action.

That was far and away the reason RWBY exists. Every facet of the plot was designed as an excuse to animate fighting, and when the story didn't necessitate fighting he just animated it anyway without giving a fuck. It's pretty good. The story's great and art has the traditional Vanillaware flair, though the battle system is very hit-or-miss and tedious at times.
The remake, Odin Sphere Leifthrasir, is probably the best option of playing this, since it not only adds some additional things, but also completely reworks the battle system to be more action-y and combo-heavy.

I used to be overweight and antisocial.

Then I hit the gym. Get a membership or (if you have one) a friend to use their 'one day free pass' guest shit. Get in the gym and go on the cross trainer for 30 minutes. If you can't do that go for 25, if not 20, etc. Make sure you have the speed on random. Then go straight over to the weight machines. Not free weights. Don't want you to break your back somehow, and people really don't judge you for not being able to lift much. Next thing you have to do is 100% start cutting back on shit food. Don't cut it out altogether, just substitute some shit things for something slightly more healthy. You'll start getting used to it and eventually you won't miss the old shit food.

Keep at this. It doesn't happen over night. It took me 3 months of gym to get to the weight I was happy with, going 3 times a week. You can go more if you want. With good health and a good lifestyle comes confidence, even if it's false. People will take it as confidence regardless as long as you hold yourself properly. Going to the gym will help your back get stronger, so your posture will gradually improve. You don't need to stop browsing 4chan completely, just cut back a bit and stop shitposting and have actual conversations.

Then you can work the rest out of yourself.

But that's just my take on it, and how I did it. Be yourself in conversations, even if you're bland as fuck, if you come across as confident then people will listen. Be a good listener too and don't be a dank memer in real life.

At best you could say there's some selfishness in that she doesn't want to confront Yang and the consequences of her inability to defend her, but that's not the same as a total lack of empathy. Rather, there's a balancing act between her own emotional issues and her empathy that it turns out tips the wrong way. It's easy to say >>3930383 that she's had three times to open up, but the reverse side of it is, in an emotional rather than logical sense, that opening up and allowing Yang and RW to be part of her problems led to them being involved in something that from her perspective they shouldn't have been.

It is of course objectively incorrect that leaving was the best decision, but the expectation of flawless decision making is unreasonable given all that's going on. Kingdom's collapsing, her former allies in the White Fang are apparently setting up to wreck all humanity and her mentor not only chopped Yang's arm off but explicitly told her beforehand that he was going to destroy everything she loved. That is the context under which Blake makes the decision to leave, and while I'd again admit that it's not the BEST decision I don't take that as a reason to pretend that she's entirely self centered and lacking any awareness. If she had, she'd never have left the White Fang, because it would obviously be far more easy, from her perspective, to just keep on doing whatever Adam told her and not deal with the consequences of independence.
