ComicAnon just read it. Praised it while also saying that it felt like disjointed good scenes connected without a story framework that works (basically), which I kind of agree with but don't know how to really fix.

But then it's probably already really good and I'm dickishly self-critical and depressive because I'm just like that-- so little flaws seem huge to me.

It is a conundrum. I could see the voicemails as more like "this wasn't any fun, I missed you the whole time, I want to just crawl into bed with you a cuddle" kind of stuff. But Jude just sees the 20 voice mails and is, understandably, pissed, so he goes to track down Nick.

It could also be that Nick just leaves with him, Jude is like "what? you seemed to be having such a good time and you have so many friends there, just hang out with them, you won't miss me". Nick responds "no, I wanted to do this with you. I've hung out at this club, with those people tons of times, I wanted to share this with you. If you want to leave, then there's no point in me staying" which leads to an argument in the streets, passersby saying "should we call the cops?" they yell back "we are the cops!" argument subsides and Nick gives it up Jude. Sounds kind of sweet.

It is kind of hellish though, but you can find a way to work it out. I don't mind helping out.
