Now go ahead, post your point. I want to address it already, are you going to keep jerking off or what? Stop bitching about your post not being addressed and let me address it already. You don't even have to type it, just link the post(s) where you mentioned it.

>Everyone left because of /sanc/
To begin with that's some huge bull crap. Let me tell you a fun fact, as someone who "left" when /sanc/ was leaked, it wasn't because of /sanc/ being a thing.
The day /sanc/ was leaked made me realize how people truly felt about the current situation of these threads and how worse it was than I thought.
If /sanc/ didn't happen, I wouldn't have get this wake up call, and even though I would have finished them one day, the leak of /sanc/ motivated me even more to work on Rigginsmania for two reasons:
- Give something to people to look forward to and proves that these games matter.
- Never let anyone take these games back to an aidschan board ever again.
It really isn't that complicated: Games are the fuel of these threads, the day everyone stop hosting is the day HG loses its identity, and it's a process that's currently happening because of how HG is evolving over time.
Which is when you think about it a travesty because of how fucking easy it is to host nowadays compared to one year ago and yet very few people are giving it a shot.
>>3710149
It was 70 UIDs and that was in my thread, because I had the balls to go crash some half-assed "prom" literally nobody gave a shit about with way better games.
>>3710214
This Asuka is cute!
>>3710200
I wasn't really telling you to do anything. Was just informing you to open your eyes to the games on /b/ being the same as February last year. No avatar circle jerk, no shit posting le maymays, lets go see what /erp/ is doing.
Just 24/36/48 tributes entered and participating in events with people rooting for their champion.
>>3710095
Not really...Its pretty common where I'm from.
>>3710159
I thought it was bait because I already went over this with you, Hosh.
You aren't the government and people can take the truth just as long as you show to to them in a light they can understand completely. Call it a type of "fluffing" if you will. But if fluffing won't even get their opinion to change about what is about to happen, then I do think it's a wrong thing to do.
You're really acting like a thief who stole something only sentimentally valuable to someone, but has no real cash value. Then when someone rats you out you say it doesn't effect them too badly so why should it matter?
And I can name a few people who left, Spy and Hiccup left because of all this drama. Not just of /sanc/, but because of all the other drama.
>What effects did /sanc/ have on their postings here?
Drama. A shitton of it.
>If anything it's the fault of the person who leaked it. Not me.
"Haha guys it wasn't my fault for having an idea about shitposting the place to oblivion, it was the person who leaked it"
>the contents of the board were too much for this trigger happy community to handle so I did keep it secret for your sake
I've already said this about /sanc/, so I'll say it again. If you want this community to flourish, you have to push it in the right direction where as many people will be happy as possible. Not everyone can be happy, but you should at least try to do that.
It comes off as selfish desires if you think so otherwise. I understand you wanted to better the community, but doing such a thing isn't the way to go at it. Please think about what you're actually saying here.
>>3710236

sure a lot of people turned up, but a lot of people who entered didnt. We should have done a check and if couples didnt turn up, let newer ones in. Reserving a spot only to not turn up is a real pain, why else do so many people ask to be swapped out when they need to leave.
Before you state so, I don't think its their fault ethier, this shit happens. But it would be nice to have a planned game where everyone turns up. I was pretty livid when none turned to my own 8 months ago, I dont want it to happen again to other people you know?

Ain't no fuck who doesn't give half a rats ass going to tell me otherwise.
>Hiccup
Personally said I wasn't the reason.
>People leaving
Don't I get to bitch about the people who left because the community is cancer and the fucks who are left maintain it's status?
Where do I bury MY dead?
Sanc was a secret operation because you guys would throw a bitch fit if we did in the open. One hero decided it was a good idea to leak it resulting in a shitstorm and continuously posting about it after the fact. I had no part of it.
So go fuck yourself with that accusation point fingers at me all you want, but I had nothing to do with what triggered the shtistorm.
>Not everyone can be happy
And I'll fucking make sure it isn't you memeposting cancer fucks.
>>3710248
Do yourself a favor and go read up the archives.
The facts are all there, and while we can play all night about who has the biggest hosting cock it only proves the simplest of rule: Good games will bring people, bad games won't.
And I bring this point again, in a time where hosting is made so fucking easy, yet nobody is giving it a shot.
>>3710274
Airi's a tramp.
Holy shit, this thread is golden.
Magical stuff happens when Hoshi, Baron, and Seth all come together to post. Thank you for the keks.
>>3710176
>That would somewhat explain it, but to be fair there were a LOT of oldfags returning for the event, and they did go pretty well...
>>3710193
>cringy shit went down because people weren't as afraid of memeposters and shitposters then, and didn't see a backlash like this coming. The same freedom is also part of what helped it be fun though.
>>3710220
>stems from my love of alchemy type shit in books and media... Alchemy is scientificly possible with enough energy to split and fuse atoms.
>>3710227
Well that's too bad... You know, after telling me all these, you can't just tell me her name?
>>3710228
>I'm personally trying to work on games as well, but to be fair it's intemedating to try to make something as... well, actaully deemed good just based off of an idea. I can see why people take a lot of time off to create them, because everything needs to be considered, and a shit ton of events need to be created that are actually good. Otherwise, you're just going to be another host that no one really remembers, meaning no one really cares all too much about.
>>3710298
The usual, what else happens here?

Quiet Black KKK. Don't make me get the USPD here.

>>3710298
Hoshi sperging out as usual, nothing out of the ordinary
>>3710303
Your point is? I'm saying there were already 70 UID's. Which was true as they were all there when Hungertale was there. Events will bring people as people adjust their planning to be there it's that simple.
>>3710319
...I already did? Sakuya Izayoi?
kamina pls host again
>>3710282
Yes, we've done roll calls before all the time.
If you know you're going to be late just message the host if you can otherwise state beforehand you might not make the beginnning or whatever.
Also I'm only saying swap if both partners havent turned up.
>>3710314
you're welcome anon. I'l pipe down now anyway.
>>3710332
I only posted cause Seth came back.
Had nothing to do with Junko's event.
Had nothing to do with it being scheduled.
>>3710310
Don't say that about about Airi-chan! She's basically a goddess!

With good and valid reason.
Also thanks for seemingly skimming over my entire post friend. I appreciate it.

>>3710383
>there was around like, 50-60 at most when that was going on, it spiked in Seth's thread dude... at the beginning of seth's thread people were still posing about having like 50 UID

Exactly.
>>3710415
The sun, the sky, maybe some birds? I don't know. Space?
>>3710323
Soviet. What did you do with Iowa?
>>3710414
At the end of Hungertale before Seth posted there were 65+ UIDs. There wasn't a sudden +20 just because of Seth. It was because it was a planned event.
>>3710375
You literally said nothing than the usual empty passive PC bullshit anyway. If people can't handle the drama, see you fucking later.
People threw a bitchfit because they're biased misinformed, meming, drama hungry shitposting fucks. I knew this, I wanted to prevent it. There is a reason, and it's not good or valid. You probably have no idea what sanc is, so I suggest you stop talking about it.
>>3710240
>S-Sorry
Aren't demons suppose to stay in hell though? Isn't it faulty of God and the Devil to just let their underlings roam where they please? Why is your world so topsy-turvy?
>>3710427
I mean the literal beginning of seth's thread, linking back to the previous one. They were clearly talking about the maximum UID at that point and time, which would've been the thread that everyone just stopped using.
>>3710443
Nothing. I swear on Lenin's mausoleum. It was when whole thread visited ERP.
Fuck me sideways hg
>>3710336
Err... oh yea I remember that... Sorry didn't stick with me, don't think I've ever heard that name before... I guess she really doesn't come around much... I'll keep a lookout though
Looks like it's bed time, hope I can keep another no-shitposting-streak for at least a few more days. I usually RP and host when things are looking better. That's really all I want to do in the end anyway. Not my fault if I find shitposting more entertaining. So entertain me, losers.
>>3710452
Why do you assume I know? The World I hail from just happens to be naturally chaotic and bizarre, of course, I, in time, hope to fix that.
>Nothing to apologize about ese.
>>3710448
Sorry I actually know about how a community works?
If you don't think I know what /sanc/ is, then how about informing me about what it was all about? Or are you just going to go "lol no see ya later fuckface"?
>>3710429
Yeah right, maybe I shouldn't have asked
>>3710494
Oh, so you were talking out of your ass when you mentioned sanc. Kinda puts off the credibility of your "knowing communities" bit. Sorry, newfaggot, but HG isn't your usual community and you're talking to the oldest of them all.
What /sanc/ was is on the /hga/ board. In it's thread. You probably won't get any of it anyway, Mr. "Hurr Durr let's sit in our own shit and hope someone else cleans it up".
>>3710445
65 I'll agree with, it was somewhere around that point, but saying it was already 70's IN hungertail simply wasn't true
>>3710476
Then why were you worrying about something you did with her.
Be honest.
>>3710494
Just...Don't bother with her. The power has gone to her head. Many of my officers had the same problem, they work for the common man, but over time their pride and ego's give them a king complex.
That is never good.

>>3710533
I didn't post in that thread. Was dead after the first day so that's why I noticed. But to say one man got 70 people there is just dumb because the event was planned so it's going to bring people.
>>3710534
I was just wondering what you meant. I didn't do anything. Was try to piece together of flirting with every girl.
>>3710332
You tell me, you're the one bringing the UIDs thing and I'm telling you how it is.
The numbers don't lie and anyone who isn't biased will tell you what the numbers were pal.
Now onto something that actually matters. The lack of games, why ?
Is it the fear of criticism ? A lack of satisfaction with your own events ?
Tell me people, why did you stop hosting ? What's the one thing keeping you from making the jump ?
I can't fix it if you don't tell me the issues.
>>3710375
To be honest Dedede if people because of a couple of shitposts it means they never really gave a shit about these threads to begin with.
But one of the thing that needs to be said is that people have to man up either way.
>>3710570
The numbers don't lie. That's why there were 65-70 in an ending game and 70-75 in a new game. I'm a mobile poster and I can't host because of that.
>>3710570
Lack of satisfaction with my events, myself. I feel as if my variety has turned to stagnation, and so I host far less often that initially, for that very reason. I'd be happy if only I could come up with more.
>>3710490
Because out of everyone I ask, you seem to have a shred of intelligence, even if it may be a small amount. I am also genuinely curiously how the places other people come from work, mostly due to the fact that so many crazies come here that it compels me to question what kind of environment you have to live in to become one of these lunatics.
Mooooooooorning..

Afternoon, Makoto
>>3710585
Numbers do lie you nigger. They did not kill 9 million jews during the Holocaust.
>>3710528
No, I think I know a good bit of what /sanc/ was. I was just asking you if you'd like to explain it to me if you thought I was uninformed.
Also knowing about /sanc/ has nothing to do about communities in general, so don't even bother trying to turn the tables on that one. I'm not stupid.
All communities work the same kind of way regardless of what you want to think. The ONLY difference with this community is that we can post as an anon if we wanted to.
>>3710570
I can agree with that statement actually. But there's a difference between being bothered by drama and straight-up leaving because of it.
If a community becomes so toxic people can't stand it anymore then I can understand.
It's the only difference between casuals and people deep into it.
But if you want to become a big community and flourish, you have to be certain you have a target audience set.
>>3710570
>Tell me people, why did you stop hosting ?
The true question would be
>Tell me people, why did you stop caring about the games ?

What may seem insane and mind boggling to one person, is completely normal and perfectly sane for another, It all depends on where you were brought up and that worlds customs and culture.
If i'm going to bluntly honest, I find the sheer number of different beings from completely different worlds here incredibly fascinating, Its like a huge melting pot of various...and radically different worlds.

What were your games again? Was it the one with the Holy Order, the Pride (something like that) and what not?

Imagination is a different thing for everyone and in that domain I can't really help a lot, except for giving "imagination tips".
Something I want to cover into a guide I'm currently writing.
>>3710617
HG is a hit or miss thing.
It can be the greatest thing just like it can be the worst thing, and this all varies depending into your definition of "fun".
Because the truth is that there's not a written way on how you "should" have fun in HG.
And because of that, it makes for these arguments that goes from "my fun > yours" to "that kind of people are toxic they should leave".
And that's something that people should rather accept other than trying to turn HG into what they want it to be.
People are frustrated with these threads because "they aren't what they used to be" and instead of trying to make the best of what we have they whine about the past.
If you take HG for what it is, it can be the most fun thing you'll find if you man up instead of letting random anonposts annoy you.
And these anonposts, while we're at it, are the result of the atmosphere these threads are.
People find the way to vent by shitposting, and they do that because the games aren't here to give them an alternate choice. It's a vicious cycle.
The games are basically what keeps people from turning into rabid animals.
I want to violently rape the squirrel girl.
>>3710711
Wouldn't worry about a thing home-slice.

Actually, I do share that same fascination. We just look at it differently, you look at it like a newborn child fascinated with their new surroundings, as if they are a new source of different and unusual, exciting, things while I look at it as if I am a kid that just discovered that they could use a magnifying glass to torture ants with sunlight, as if these new differences are detrimental in some way, which, in my opinion are.
Mostly because of how barbaric most act.
>>3710850
Hmmmm...
I tend to do that without really even trying to really... that's the hard thing about traveling through shadows... you can't just suddenly talk behind them, because that startles them, but you also can't just tap them on the shoulder because that does to... Granted I don't think a knife is too much worse than what I've experienced before, granted if she downright stabs me that might not be fun... Any advice on how NOT to scare people?
>>3710827
Hi ho, hi ho, it's off to work we go!

Me too! Finally feel refreshed after a couple days of lackluster or non existent sleep. Nothing quite like it.
Say, you're part squirrel, do you hibernate?
>>3710788
Whoa, a post that makes logical and morale sense.
Although I agree with some of your parts, I will say that I never said anything about "Toxic people should leave" or anything of that sort.
I'm just saying that we should have a target audience.
I just want to say though that I really think HG may seem different from the past than now is not because of the games, but because of the people.
Is it because people left? Maybe a bit. But is it the people joining? Not that either. But I think it's because the HG we know now lacks... What would you call it? Personality.
You know what I mean, don't you? I'll try to sum it up in a way a Smash Bros player or something said.
"I like watching professional Starcraft players play because I enjoy seeing what strats the people use to go over hurdles in the competition, and that's fun. But other than that I don't see much use to watching them. Whilst Smash Brothers Melee is the most 'Dragonball Z sitcom'-shit I've ever seen. What do I mean by that? Well we got people like 'The Villain' Leffen and 'The people's champ' Scar. They have a set personality to them that makes them unique and sets them apart from the rest of the cast to make it... Well, not boring!"
Surely you as a wrestling fan can understand where I'm coming from, right?
That's why things can get so hype at times. Because it's not just about the games, but the personality of the people and which people you want to root for from the sidelines.
>>3710867

Would you care to indulge my Bread Head sandwiches, as well?
>>3710867

>>3710867
How about...Maria.
>>3710917
Excuse me, miss, but I couldn't help but overhear your conversation with the lovely girl. I think we have much to discuss.
Sometimes I think HG talking about the community is more prevalent than the games themselves.
>>3710886
>>3710922
I already have a significant other, a female one at that. Just because I tolerate the demon and enjoy her presence moreso than I do most of you is not a good reason to believe that I harbor any of those affectionate feelings towards her.
>>3710879
In all honesty, I don't see how they can be detrimental, if anything they could help you get a grasp of worlds you may some day visit.
Viewing everything as a possible negative is a horrible way to live, I always try to view things as positively as I can, It should always be in someones best interest to see what they can do with their resources instead of just trying to destroy them and seeing them as a treat and a detriment.
>>3710979

>>3710929
Kind of just bouncing into this, but I kind of have to dissagree a bit with that. People here do have personality, but that's generated through a character that is avafaged, or through OOC avafags. People have gotten recognized, and are their own person. People do have their likes and dislikes. The thing is, there is not favoratism outside of the typical social setting like there would be in an enviornment you're compairing us to, like a gaming community, because there are no "good and bad" players, as there is no skill or strats involved in HG. There are only people you do or don't like. This is a community, people are individuals with personalities... I guess I'm either missing your point, or just don't agree really...
>>3710940

I think you're missing a little bit of the point, as people do here have set personalities of course, but it's hard to make them "stand-out" in a way.
I can't speak for too much of the oldfags, but a couple of people that stand out to make themselves unique from the crowd would be Adachi, Seth, Kamina, and Hoshi. They're popular for all different kind of reasons, can really hype people up over the most random of shit (Seth randomly coming back after we all thought he was gone for various reasons, Kamina cucking himself, and Adachi hosting over people).
Nobody in their right mind would do that, right? But they do it anyways, just because of their entertainment value.
>>3711074
Frankly, it doesn't matter to me what you are. In the end, a lesser being is a lesser being.

I completely understand your point, and as a Smash guy too I can tell you the only times I get interested in the competitive scene is because of Leffen and his bantz. I saw the documentary about the 7 players of Smash very long ago, and it's with guys like them that the Smash community gained in importance, because of their personalities and their genuine passion.
The thing I try to do with my games is have events that can build the characters that get them, scenarios that are both entertaining and expand their personalities while being able to interpret them freely with their avatars.
One of the thing is that practically happen with every things ever, is that since people get to know each others better, well as paradoxical as it sounds it may also be one of the reasons why people "get shy" and don't dare to post as freely as they used to do when they debuted.
Because really, when you're a newfag you got nothing to lose. You make some posts here and there but at the end of the day you don't go with the mindset "Fuck I might not post that one it could make it lose my rep / make others lose respect in me".
And I think socialization aspect, while creating some of the best friendships there is, was also double-edged and now people are a bit more afraid to completely let themselves out.

If you don't discuss of it once and for all we'll just keep living blinding ourselves of the problems that are obviously there.

I heard the word "purge".
>fuck, croatia deserved it so much

>She reaches out in the air towards the chocolate.
Uh, c-can I have a bite?
>>3710918
I can, but only if I want to! That's one of the perks of being beastkin, I can survive the winter alone!
>>3710932
Ah!
Yeah, please! I'd love some!
>>3710940
I can't just dooo that. I've still got sleep in my eyes and my muscles are still waking up.
>>3710949
That sounds a lot easier to remember! And it's pretty, too!
Nice to meet you, Maria!
What brings you here?

You literally are just talking about relatively OOC people. That's the thing, hunger games wasn't exactly suppossed to be about OOC. People here come to avafag avatars, so wanting people to go OOC and make their own personality known is looked down upon by a lot of people. Sure everyone would stand out more if we dropped doing what we are here to do and just talked like I'm guilty of doing like right now, but that's not HG in the first place. That's not this community. I guess this is where that dissagreement stems...

>He takes the bucket back, replacing it within the mysterious confines of his jacket
That's unfortunate. We do offah one item in particulah that might still tickle your fancy. Try this on for size
>Hand still beneath his lapel, he pulls out a chocolate chip cookie, which is wrapped in parchment paper, and hands it to you
Not my speciality, but we do have em.

Her name is Aizawa, and she is not a "faghag". She is on such a high level that she makes the majority of women here seem as "faghags". She is the epitome of civilization as well as the embodiment of being a good samaritan.

I am talking about the people who are feral outside of the arena. The people who speak with weapons and threats rather than words and logic.
>>3711185
I'm not saying talking about it is bad, in fact having some sort of idea about where the community is good.
It's more than HG has been focused more on this than the games themselves.
I love the games, but with the lack of care for them I'm worried how things will go down as time goes on. And I'm unsure if the lack of care will eventually make the Games completely disappear and HG won't be HG anymore.

That's incredible! Hibernation on demand. Ever had to do it?
>>3711224
Well, scrape it out an' do some stretches, then, c'mon!
>>3711228

PURGE THE LEWD
>nuts
>>3711239
There's always a personality IC, that's what he's saying. Like in streaming and in showbiz. Stop talking about everything when you know jack shit.
>>3711239
why do people keep forgetting that the community started off as avafags that didnt RP at all?
>>3711185
I completely agree with everything you've said there.
It's just too bad a lot of people don't do such a thing.
>>3711239
Who said that the community has to be JUST ABOUT avatars being IC, my good ghost pal?
>>3711277
This, HG only started turning into more about RP as more people joined.
Hell the term Avatar isn't exclusively a Roleplay thing, it just means who your persona is.
