You've got a lot of good places to start, I think. Could fall back on Nick knowing everybody; maybe he knows some of the patrons or whoever's working the bar. Maybe Jude is interested in all the pred/prey accessories and of course Nick knows what those are all about, giving some flirty examples as he explains. Could slip Zeke and Sunny in there for size shenanigans or a contrast with a rougher pred/prey couple.

Dialogue on the spot is harder, though, a lot of mine springs from the mood I'm trying to set and it's difficult to produce in a vaccuum.

This line feels like Nick doesn't really have a comeback, and could easily be changed to sort of keep up the "pressure" that Nick's been applying since chapter one. Something like "Now there's an idea. Keep it in mind," or something along those lines.

Jude seems a little wordy despite being flustered for a lot of this.

is a bit of a mouthful for someone who's so surprised. You could easily shorten it to something like "A--A spare? You PLANNED this?"

In the later line about Nick having the spare stashed in the right room, I feel there's room here for Jude to sort of realize that this isn't just some whim of Nick's. He put effort into this, and for a dude who just sort of came out of the closet there's some room, I think, for him to sort of begin to understand that Nick is legitimately into him if he went to all this trouble. Play up the detective side of it, maybe, kinda putting the pieces together. "Riling me up all day...chasing me around the office...getting me into a room with a spare..."

The lines where Jude's talking about what they've gotta do before they head out feels more like you're explaining it to me than Jude explaining it to Nick. Consider changing it to more of an affirmation/reminder than an explanation. Something like "I'll assume you're fine with us splitting up to log out. We still need to check in with the Chief about the Vita Coco case then we're free. West exit?"

The line about what's in the baggie feels weirdly...specifically vague, I guess? Like he's dropping hints for Clawhauser but if all he's trying to do is embarrass Jude he can gloss over it a bit more. "A memento of me coming out ahead, that's all." or something. I get the impression that he's enjoying keeping the pressure up on Jude even if he lightens up now that he's gotten Jude's rocks off.

These are just sort of personal suggestions, really.

That's an interesting observation. Jude needs a character building kind of moment where he deals with now Nick managed to play him up, teasing him all the fucking day, to the point that even in foreplay-easy-peasy terms he still came hard for the fox. And they made it clear that they're possibly really moving forward.

I don't know, though. Like I said, my thoughts are in flux. Jude here is not repressed, but while he's going through the 1st movie he's still not 100% sure if he wants a serious and devoted relationship with Nick. He's also like... 'straight gay'? I guess? Well, we were given a topic. Originally I was gonna use a story involving a machete wielding girl going guerilla warfare in the jungles of a tropic country. But seeing how much time I have and how much I have to draw for the full comic, I went with some simpler slice-of-life comic instead. Beats all the people in my class having to rush details into their work or end up half-assing it.

But yeah, I actually never thought of the idea of the protag doing foam art. Must've forgotten about that. Thanks for the idea. It's close to where I'm going with on the cover, I'm actually drawing pencil sketches because he's the occasional pencil sketcher.

I don't actually go on tumblr except for occasionally browsing your art and Zistopia, but I think I get what you're saying.

I'd imagine Kid A goes to the coffee shop everyday not for coffee, but to try and interact with protag. However, they always slip up their words and get really nervous and end up antagonizing protag instead.

That goes on for several days and protag wonders why they even show up if only to fight. Maybe some days in, Kid A stops showing up for a few days and protag seems relieved at first, but after the first day of Kid A not showing up, actually misses the interaction between the two of them as the coffeeshop tends to be empty, and when it's not, silent regardless.

Fast forward and Kid A shows up again, this time more prepared to actually talk about their intentions, etc.
