Honestly, you should probably read up about it, and what all it entails, perhaps lurk in one of these threads, decide what's best for you, etc. It's a pretty big process, and it never ends, so you have to be prepared for that. It's okay not to do active forcing, but passive forcing is pretty easy to do and doesn't require a lot of concentration, plus it's one of those habits that has a lot of inertia, so you don't wanna stop since it'll take forever to get it started again. You can just try chilling with your tulpa and relaxing with them on the weekends. It doesn't require much effort and it helps make your mind 'comfortable' with the idea of a tulpa.

I haven't done any tulpamancy in years, and back when I did do it I tried to make and then abandoned several tulpae. Yesterday, three of them made contact with me out of the blue. Only one is advanced enough to have a conversation with me and she claims to represent all three. Normally I would be thrilled, but they want a sign that I won't lose interest and leave them again. A more practical concern for you will be how you and your tulpas relationship will develop in the future and what worries you might develop from this.
