I want to have a roommate who loves to eat. I want to challenge them to see who can put on the most weight after a few days. I want to purposely lose and extend the deadline so that \i have a chance to "catch up", all the while they are putting on as much weight as they can. I wouldn't completely give up myself, I just gain at a rate that makes it seem like I'm trying. I would feed them as get fatter and lazier. That's why I said to consider the consequences. Lack of mobility being the most important one. I'm sure there would certainly be tons more of fat people, and you don't have to be immobile to be a blob, you can have both.

But still: if it wasn't unhealthy it would not be regarded as disgusting as it is irl, and people who like it would be far less afraid to "come out" about it, so I imagine being notoriously obese would attract many admirers ; with health concerns gone, I would have zero problems about stuffing my face with food I liked all day, and expanding beyond irl sizes would mean becoming a slave to my own size and realizing all my fantasies.

I would not even think about it. With those restraints gone, I'd happily become a mountain of blubber.
