"It's been nearly 3 weeks, agent. We thought we have lost you to the Mountain Grimm."

It's probably best you do not speak.

A flood of three people of differing sizes rush into the room and start to surround you.

The faunus retracts back and just resumes scanning the machines.

I flipped a coin to break a tie and shave won.

The buzzing of the clippers drop away chunks of hair into the sink as you start to see the multiple gashes hidden beneath.

It looks like you dunked your head in barbed wire and shook around.

The longest and largest one is on the top of your crown, it forms a scar that trails tight down almost to your forehead.
The claw must have been deep in there.

After some trimming and washing you open your locker to suit up.
There you find your gear.

There are some light scratches on it but most of the old damage looks like it's already been fixed.

It isn't all that clear from far away from it's olive green color anyways.

They even freshly put on a new paint for your name.

You start to grab it off it's hanger until a fast flash of images start to materialize.

So much shrieking in the black and swampy darkness.

You remember the flash of light everytime you pull the trigger of your shotgun.
The claws and bites nearly ripping and tearing you apart limb from limb.

You remember the murky bile you stood on while the Grimm hastily try to pull you away towards them.

But you never gave up.

And even to your last round you used your legs.
And when that wouldn't work you used your arms.
And when that wouldn't work you used your teeth and head.

The memories came surging in as you feel it in your body.
The gnawing pain...
The agony...

It almost feels like it's happening again.

You snap back to reality and take a few breathers before successfully suiting up.

The team assembled in the hangar bay right beside your transport ship.

Saek: "Alright listen up chucklefucks, we got a new pilot here with us today because they said they needed 'some time off from us' Ha!"

"Ladies, here's our new pilot, Daisy Tulips.

A lady jumps down from the ship and waves everybody hi.
Her flight suit hugs her figure really well with her bee patterned helmet to the side of her hip.

Daisy: "Howdy!"

Yulia catches her fiancé staring until a fast elbow to his side makes him adjust his jaw and stupefied eyes.

Saek: "Daisy here is an excellent pilot. I'm sure she will treat us all well."

Daisy: "It's a pleasure to meet, y'all. Aaand just to make sure ah got it all right.."

Stefen: "Sure am. Soap is fine"

From what you gather from the very short briefing, you are being flown into Fort Hammond stationed in Menagerie, one of the largest dust mining facilities in all of remnant.

There's been an invasion from the locals there and are destroying everything they are getting their hands on, even killing staff.

This has been going on for weeks and the situation is growing worse.

The main mission is to extract the head engineer, February Gold and her team out of there. She has been located at the top most part of the facility tower, radioing for help.

You have the clear to open fire at any armed combatant.

A loud siren blares throughout the ship as the bay doors start to open, a rope drops down for you all to rappel down.

From the distance you see Fort Hammond and the warzone surrounding it.

Stefen sets up his long rifle and looks through his scope.

He's a good shot but kinda chatty at times.

Stefen: "Nothing but the local militia tearing up the place. Armed with small arms, nothing fancy. No hunters spotted. They can't get inside the main facility and are trying to force their way in through the courtyard. Other than that..."

He shifts his rifle to point as Yulias butt.

Stefen: " I see the ass that I'm going to ravage when this is all over.."

Yulia: "Oh, are you now?"

She shimmies her hips a bit.

Keppel: "Can you guys..like not do that in the comms?"

Saek: "Enough sex talk, we can try to force through the crowd but there's always an alternative."
"The underground pipeline. Wynona says it's shut down and we can sneak I through there and arrive in the foundry for a more stealthier approach."

Kep:" What if it jumpstarts while we're still in it?"

Saek: "Then it's been nice serving you all. How about you Jasper, you're the striker. What's our best point of entry?"

"Wow, it's not like I do these things out of courtesy you know."

"I know, Wyn. I appreciate what you're trying to do here."

The crushing of the crusted dusted beneath everyone's boots feels and sounds like brittle bones being trampled underfoot.

Kep: "Hey Jasper."

Kep: "Maybe it is inappropriate time but how did that thing with that girl from the other team go ?"

Kep: "Yeah, the snake faunus."
