I don't want to sound like a dick, but have you considered having the parents break down? You are doing a great job with the sisters, but I''d like to see the parents behind closed doors together or alone. It's just a suggestion though, so you don't have to pay attention to that. One thing that was a little annoying at first before I got too into it was calling the parents "the" mom and "the" dad. I feel like the show really makes them important characters compared to something like peanuts or other shows about kids. The way you wrote the parents are great but not straight up calling them mom and dad distracts me for a few seconds before I get back into it.

Again, great job and I hope to read more from you soon. Maybe I could try writing a story on my own at some point since I always wanted to try writing.

As the oldest one in my family, I actually ended up being my father's pillar to lean on when my grandfather died. Dad just sorta collapsed on the floor bawling and I had to be his support... and I was only eleven back then.
