Surprised me but I wasn't bothered by it. Supposedly his death was supposed to remind people that the Grimm are dangerous but they have Ruby just kill one by stepping on it's head. I think Roman and Ruby should have had weapons locked and then Ruby shoves Roman off so the Griffon/Nevermore(Cant remember what it was) eats him.

I was very surprised at how early it happened, especially after all the stuff with Penny that never got touched on. How it actually happened was very stupid and pissed me off. I knew once she stopped outside the tower she was going to die. The actual fight was painful to watch because despite everything Pyrrha did, I knew she was going to lose. She doesn't actually accomplish anything, just becomes a trigger for Ruby's super saiyan powers. What made it even worse was that it immediately changes focus to another character, time skip and then the characters are continuing their adventure.

Didn't give the audience a chance to really take it in or mourn the death.

Did I cry? Not really. Cold made me sob though.
