I'd attribute that more to his abilities as a salesman/scam-artist, as refreezing unfrozen syrup is a sub-baseline skill.

I feel like Nick could probably cook using anything, but never does anything fancy.
The whole "earn 200$ a day" thing makes me wonder what type of life style he has. On one hand, he could probably live comfortably. On the other hand, if the popsicle hustle is any indication, Nick seems to use everything with little to no waste, so he might just make food at home and learn how to cook.

As the other Anon has said, the art is really nice. The story is kind of weird, but I liked it.

It has some elements that RTS vets might be put off by. For one, your character is the rally flag, and the cursor. Your character can die, but respawns after a while. But for 30 seconds your army can't move or will be locked in your last command. There is some strategy in that you can select and move only a type of unit. So you can set up siege/sniper units on hills. This makes moving your other 4 types of units harder though, as there is only "move unit type" and "move all units."

The story mode can be very hard or very easy. The maps seems to be generated at random, or picks from a huge list of presets each time you play. So an an ambush at one spot might not even be there the next. Healing pools might not even spawn in safe locations, or they might be everywhere and makes the once impossible level really easy .

The plot does involve pretty much eating everyone on the opposing side. So incoming vore art.

I will say I like the game, but it's probably a $10-$15 game not a $20 one. I've had a lot of fun with it. My little derp review is just so people who are thinking of buying it know what to expect when they play it.

Though I'm reminded of what one of the creators said about Nick's character (can't recall if it was Byron or someone else), that he likes cutting corners, such as with his necktie which they stated he actually doesn't retie daily, but rather loosens it off and hangs it up at the end of the day so he can just quickly slip it on when getting dressed.
Taking that habit into account, it wouldn't surprise me if Nick is more inclined towards take-out or pre-made/frozen food that requires little time and effort.
If he's not making money from it, it's probably not worth his time.
