I created a fursona called Panda Head Guy.
It's just a guy with panda head.
I was inspired to create this entity when I saw a guy wearing a Maskimals panda head.

I've thought about it, but like with many things I've don't feel that strongly about a lot of things.
If I were to actually make a character, it'd be to make a character rather than some self-insured reflection of myself.

Though go on, twist my arm. If I wanted to reflect me as I actually am in some anthropomorphic animal rather than what I'd desire to be, I guess I'd be some kind of dog. Spaniel maybe, their ears sort of look my hair. Or maybe a generic housecat, I do like my solitude and sleep.
Of course there's another reason I'd make a character before a 'sona. I'm dreadfully dull.

You shouldn't worry about how fun it is to look at as long as its special to you.

For instance, my sona is a fairly plain brown rabbit, but he always wears my favourite outfit, his fur and hair is based off my own hair colour and the fur pattern around his eyes and mouth are stand-ins for my stubble and almost constantly tired looking eyes.

As long as it isnt neon green and magical, you should be fine

Most have several. Though I don't know anyone that calls them fursonas these days, and I've only met a handful of people that even have a 'main' one. Just commissioned some art for one of mine, primarily for erping. Thought about what characters I like to play as, what characters I like to play with, what scenes I like, and so on. Ended up with a bratty, switch, gothic lolita bunny girl.

Before that I was a filthy at thief. Some of my favorite and mos popular characters have been a well hung male husky cub, a shemale griffon for MLP shit, a Pokemon hub profile when I want things to get gory... Oh, and Major Wonder from superheroinecentral.

Really, imo, if you want to create a "fursona", then you're going to want to look for something that you think best fits you, you yourself, not who you *want* to be. You have to be honest with yourself, or its just going to be another lie.

besides which I've found that keeping an OC alone private and the content you get of them only a small amount, and kept as private as possible tends to help with not making a metaphorical and literal whore of them, given you'll be a lot less likely to have autists pressuring you into making poor decisions.

I've never gotten anything I didn't request and most of the deliveries I've gotten are pretty good, like this one of the main character from a webcomic I'm working on. Oh, I'm still nowhere near good enough to actually draw it, but the idea is that Ruby - that cat there - is a witch's familiar, and she's in love with her master, who is some kind of normal person that doesn't want to fuck a cat. So the comic's just cute/lewd adventures of Ruby trying to make her owner fall in love with her.

Her best friend is the witch's pet bat, Bela, along with a house spider. I was thinking of working in a werewolf neighbor for kind of a love triangle at some point, but that would be later on near the end of the story. I have about 30 story ideas for it already, it's just a matter of me not sucking at art.

This is Ariela, I got the idea for her because my spirit animal is a Newt, along with the fact I like Axolotls (hence some of the axol details).
While I know a lot of furs who use their sonas to be more open or social behind a character, mines is the opposite. I'm normally an anxious mess so she's very shy and reclusive like me, especially since I just recently got into the community.
I got into the community because I really liked the art, designs, and overall creativity it felt like it had. Plus I had friends who were involved with it and that also made me curious.
I tend to draw and write a lot and make sonas/OCs frequently, so making one wasn't really hard, especially since I wanted her to represent the side of me I normally don't show. I'm normally the talkative, energetic gal in groups in public, but around close friends I'm a lot more laid back and quiet, even unsocial at times.

I never made a fursona because I'm afraid that if I do I'll descend into total furry trash.

I already go to the furry convention in my state, I'm friends with other furries, and I own stuff (like books, shirts, art, etc) made for furries by furries. But I'm only about 15% furry, I'm worried that once I go all the way and make a fursona then I'll keep going until I end up 90% furry.

I went about making him after I met another furry here about a year ago. The relationship didn't last so now it's kinda awkward commissioning pictures of him, but I still kept him.
