YTP is something of a lost art these days. People have been making weird videos and sound samples of the sort since forever ago - since the days before YouTube was even an idea. But there's something special about a well put together YTP that I just can't put into words. It's something I've always wanted to get really good at doing. It's a wagon I wish I had jumped on a decade ago, when it was still fresh on everyone's mind.

As someone who's been really into YTP since 2008, I'll give my input.

EmpLemon is what brought all the normalfags who love MLG and dank memes into the YTP community with his pixar poops. Pretty much every YTP that breaks the 100k barrier nowadays is a poorly-made meme-packed YTP of a 3D-animated pixar/dreamworks/disney movie, all inspired by EmpLemon. He has the fucking nerve to make a video on Behind The Meme, who he claims is bringing all the normies into the meme community, when he's actually helped turn the YTP community into the cancer it is today. His content is also terrible, and he forces the fuck out of his handful of unfunny inside jokes. I was just in his discord to see if everyone there liked him unironically, and they all do.

I also made a YTP collab around the same time as he made his Drake and Josh collab, and some of the more talented participants I had, some of them friends, ditched out on my collab to be a part of his. Any good YTP collab host will provide to the participant whether they've been accepted or not, and if not, how they could improve their part. They keep in constant contact with the people who have joined, from the start of the collab until the video's final release. What EmpLemon does is have everyone email their entries to him, and if they're good enough, he'll take out their "bad half" and include the "good half" in his collab, without ever saying a word to them. Funny thing is, a friend, who I removed after they ditched out on my collab for emp's cancerous shit, didn't even make the cut for the Drake and Josh collab, lmao. They would have made it into mine tho

Emp's collabs make it into the hundreds of thousands of views, yet my collab just hit only 20k (still more than most). Apparently emp doesn't even fucking put them together and render them, a friend does it for him. He doesn't even credit the participants in the description.

As for comparison, of course Emp's collab is better.
