While I was uploading this comic, i had a thought about why i think this comic is so great. It goes beyond just the amazing quality of the art, but that deserves endless praise itself, of course.

Something that's really silly about drawn porn is that it often has this sense of grandeur or its something very important in the lives of the participants, in the way that is is often presented and drawn.

Artists try so hard to make sex scenes so amazing and groundbreaking when at the end of the day, sex in reality is quite mundane. Of course, many people may have insecurities about intimacy and would value it where it exists, so i can't really blame them for viewing sex in this way...

The way this author, Skadjer, presents this sexual scene feels very mature and grounded. It's given a certain amount of respect that feels almost real, like it's viewed as being mundane but a positive aspect of the lives of the characters in it.

I disagree with this assessment that sex is mundane. Fuck this game, the last time a game left me depressed like this was Mass Effect and the ending of HL2:Ep2, but not nearly as much.

I fell in love with the characters.

After finishing the games I'd start right back at the first and play through them all again. After that I'd play through them again. Being stuck in this damn loop because I loved the characters, yet knowing I'd never experience something new with them really didn't have a good impact on me.

The first few playthroughs didn't go all that well either, where Garrus got blown up after entering the relay, Tali died by rocket to the face in the Collector base, and one where both where mushed by a fucking Mako of all things, only for them to be annihilated by a Reaper before I could absorb the shock.

At least Tali didn't jump on me. I don't think I had been able to handle that, being in that depression pit.

I'm biased, of course. Young and mentally frail in my (middle?) teens, and remembering it all of the top of my head via rose-tinted goggles.

FTL: Faster Than Light helped, and so did the tremendous amount of fan-fiction. There was always that one diamond in the rough.

Reading your posts makes me reconsider why I liked Remy in AWSW so much.
In all honesty, the game had a bit going against it for me because I found the original trailer for it to be extremely cringey and bad. The demo however convinced me on the game and it was because of Remy. I just felt like I could relate to him and there was a certain kind of kinship that I desired.
So naturally, he was my first playthrough on the day the game finally came out and I got the bad ending. I was upset but seeing that it was a "bad" ending, I instead became determined to get his good ending. I refused to accept such a terrible fate for him, so I kept playing that same day until I got it.
Afterwards, after I had more or less "completed" the game, I went through Remy's route again on my final run. I was a little disappointed by how "generalized" the ending ultimately felt, I wished that there would be an extra scene for the one I loved the most. I went through all that hassle of getting 60% because I cared about Remy enough to do whatever I could to make sure he had the best outcome.

Maybe I felt protective of Remy. I still do in fact. I even get a little unreasonably upset when I see that other anon here post about how Remy "belongs" to him even though that fucker is just a bandwagoner and wasn't even here before the game came out.

note 1: you get the dragon head stone right away but to get the torso stone you have to give him 30 dragon scales (I think it's 30 but I'm not 100% sure)
Note 2: when you get stuck on the climb back up the great hollow, roll to the left.
