Of the two, the former is preferred.
Note, for example, that the options in >>11384221 >>11384238 are "bad" rather than bad, so it doesn't fall neatly into either category.
What you should keep in mind is whether the combination of the experiences laid out in the CYOA, and the post-CYOA status quo, are sufficiently enticing in comparison to the reader's present (i.e. pre-CYOA) status quo.

In this world all metahumans are futanari, its something to do with the gene mutations that cause it, schools are mixed between metas and non metas to check for late bloomers before the last year rotates to pure schools for safety. But it doesn't stop. At last my Powers awaken. I get cool Powers based on that of a Prehistoric Raptor, and now Im a sexy herm too, at least my wardrobe was already changed to match, table turning is a bit easier and sometimes it feels like they wanted it.

During all this I get dragged into biggass super hero fights with my three "Girl Friends" both before and after gaining my powers, all number of perverted supervillains give a bit of karma to them but I get caught in it too.

These afflicted range from ghosts to zombies and vampires, even including other forms of undead, though they are often of reduced abilities such as zombies being of greatly reduced intellect, they do have the supernatural abilities appropriate for their being. Your own intellect increased though, such that you are as smart as the smartest undead(though they aren't as smart as they once were). On the upside further you're now a necromancer, should help you being the ruler of the undead. On the downside many living people happen to consider the curse your fault to begin with, and they do still outnumber the undead.
