Raised by a strip mall martial artist with the fabled Betamax + VHS combo player in the swamps of Florida, was originally a regular pet gator when suddenly mutagen, and because TMNT used to make it mandatory, tits.

I've sailed through the vast seas of the internet in hopes of at finding anything involving sentient space dragons, or something similar to Sentiant space dragons, and all I found were Jack and Shit.

You would think at least one person would at least make an attempt to bring the idea to life and experiment with it, but it seems the entire concept is unable to be realized by the entertainment industry.

The fact the Science High Fantasy genre doesn't exist is baffling. Give me dwarves that live in asteroid belt mining colonies and build battleships twice the size of anyone else. Give me a wizard taking on the galaxy armed with nothing but a pointy hat and a laser pistol up the sleeve of the robes he wears over his hardsuit because some traditions die hard. Give me feudal systems that stretch over colonies. Give me dragons that soar in the high atmosphere of gas giants. Give me some proud old society of dragon riders who instead of moving with the times decided to vacuum proof their armour, strap boosters to their mounts and travel around in giant carrier ships somehow winning battles through honour, chivalry and being the stubbornest craziest motherfuckers ever to step into the void and drive a plasma-warhammer through the canopy of someone's fighter. The closest thing we have is 40k and that is really fucking sad.

There was a series of books I read freshman year of highscool (long time ago now) called "The Dragonback Adventures". Essentially a kid and large-ish lizard alien guy (Whatever alien species he was wasn't dragon, but they made reference to him looking like one more than once) going on space adventures. Even though 40k has Fantasy elements to compliment the science fiction, it still didn't cut it for me. There is not a single trace of evidence of their being Sapient space dragons.

40k has Space orks, Space elves (Eldar), Demons, reality warping magic, a god who was literally Murder-fucked into existence by a subgroup of the earlier mentioned space elves, and freaking Asian Communist Half-Cow people that pilot mech suits you would usually see in a Japanese anime.

Hmm, well... I think what I can't stand the most is an insistence on selfishness. the only annoying part of that is that you should have a cop badge on and if you actually get summoned, you don't get any time time to put on the right gear.
Like you have to have a certain set-up for farming (Symbol of Avarice, Gold Serpent Ring, etc...) but then you don't get any warning before you get summoned. Sometimes you're still killing a knight when you get notified.
God forbid you get summoned right in the middle of a brawl and you didn't even get a chance to take off the life-draining mimic-head. I almost wish I was on PC so I could have macro for nigh-instant gear switching.
Don't even get me started when you're hurrying to fix your build and when you get summoned, the dark spirit gets killed right as you spawn and you get booted back to your world without a concord, making you sit through two loading screens for nothing.

They called him a k'da, but he was basically a dragon without wings. I think he was just a bit smaller than your average person.

The science wasn't great, but that book is probably my favorite just because of how unique it was - the whole fourth dimension planar space took me a while to wrap my head around when I first read it. There were some good funny moments in it too.

I'd love to see something similar that was oriented more towards adults, maybe exploring the darker matters they glossed over in those books.

Of course I already know that, my man.
It's not exactly a game changer but it dealing magic damage is valuable for two reasons:
Faith has the ability to buff their weapons with no less than 3 different elements, making it useful in PvE and the various enemy weaknesses.
More players are weaker against Magic damage than Lightning and Dark. This is because Lightning defense is improved with Endurance and everyone who isn't an idiot will have good endurance, and Dark defense requires leveling both Int and Faith, which is a relatively uncommon setup since dark magic is fucking shit in 3.
