Your character can be the one getting fucked and still be domming if they're the ones giving commands and the other one is following directions. One of my favorite scenes was my character commanding her bodyguard to fuck her senseless.

How did you let a retard like that get through your planning phase? Allow to me tell you about a little secret of mine. One that will improve your actual roleplays quite a bit; but it WILL lower your quantity of play. A mixed blessing, but it's worked out incredibly well for me so far.

I demand EXTREMELY thorough planning for most of my roleplays, defining everything from a long-term background story, to a short-term or oneshot scene set in any part of this overbearing scenario, which we'll actually be playing out. Details about the shorter story are discussed, kinks are debated, and only /then/ do we start to play.

Now this may all seem way too intricate to you, but it gives you plenty of time to monitor and judge the other person's grammar, spelling, imagination, descriptive abilities, and even his knowledge to immerse himself in his character. Thusly, you can filter out a great deal of shitters that would, at first sight, appear to be at least somewhat competent. This, in turn, makes sure that only rarely will you find yourself in a roleplay with someone you don't like. Plus, all the planning ensures the roleplay will cater perfectly to the both of you, and if a success, next time you can slack a bit on the planning phase, since you just need to pick a new part of the background story to play out, perhaps define some details. Throw some kinks into the mix, and you're good to go.

This is, in my opinion, the best way to go about things. In order to remember everything later, save the log, and write a short synopsis in the memo of the person you're talking to. If you'd like an example of such a memo, I'll gladly post a few.

Improve the titles. Make them [color=white][big][b]Title[/b][/big][/color] like that. I would advocate making the titles colored while keeping the body text white, but that is your choice. I've gotten to the point now where I exclusively do long term note-based RPs. I maintain a small list of dedicated long term partners.

Here is what I have found is good for such RPing types

-I do not find that profiles with a lot of effort put into them are very good. The best RPer I ever had, one who has no competition at all, has 2 images on his profile, 12 lines of plain text and a half a dozen custom kinks. The second best RPer I found has an equally bland profile.
-The life blood of a long term RP is OOC communication: planning and feedback. If they are not willing to plan or they have trouble coming up with details they are not worth the time. Feedback/planning means the RP improves over time.
-The best RPer is one who has a burning passion for something specific. They will stick with it forever, put in the most effort, and really make it a living breathing world. People that have generic tastes with no strong disposition give servicable but not the best RPs. To give an example, that 'best RPer' I mentioned has written novel length fanfiction about his waifu.
-The person behind the RP is a strong indication of it's quality. The best RPers I meet have jobs that require a great deal of intelligence and intellectual hobbies. The guy who likes to play Civilization is going to be a lot better RPer than the guy who plays Kirby.
-In order to have an RP go on forever there must be a conflict between the two characters which cannot be solved by rape. It goes "she likes him but...." it also means that the tone will constantly change, she may be really into him at one moment and confrontational the next.
-I like to have subs in a situation where they have a great deal of freedom but are still bound to the dom. Either by making it impossible for them to cut ties with the dom or by making it so they have a personal reason to be with him so even though she can leave, she wont'.

It's been a mix-up in my experience. People with heavily detailed profiles are as likely to be insane dramawhores as people who can actually pump out that much effort in their RPs, same with minimalists being both lazyheads and people who've embraced that less is sometimes more.

I look for profiles in a middle ground. What I want to see is something very personal and passionate in their custom kinks and the art that they do have should be a decent taste.

If someone puts a lot of effort into custom fonts and formatting and over-detailed character description I think they are compensating for mediocre talent.

I learned this myself. Even if you can flirt with them and they know it's just a game you shouldn't do it. It zaps the eroticism out of the RP. Both of you end up getting your kicks from the flirting rather than the RP, which slows down and might even die.

I think silly smut is fine for short term RPs, in fact I think it's the best approach because it requires the least set up and development.

It cannot sustain a long term one though. You fuck turbo-slut and than you're bored of her. You can't carry on a 50 note story about constantly boning the same slut. It would get repetitive. Even if you went the harem route it's going to get stale. I've done stuff where I play multiple slut girls and I eventually run out personality types to throw at the stud.

Just from a glance, you need 1) custom kinks and 2) to trim the fat off of your regular kinks, especially the Maybe and Yes tabs. An easy way is to use subfetishes for species and genders. Also put your preferred post perspective (1st, 2nd, or 3rd) in your faves to prevent confusion.

A rule of thumb I use is that in terms of population of each tab, I have the most in Yes, second most in Faves, No generally has third most, and Maybe is my "I have to be in a certain mood for these/convince me" tab with a handful of kinks.

You don't actually HAVE to fill out your opinion on every kink in the kink list. There are kinks that you will be ambivalent about or not into, and are so out there/extreme that if you simply have it unlisted someone into them will ask you if you're into it first, and then you can turn them down there. For example, no one into fisting is actually going to just assume everyone is A-OK with it. If you have it unlisted, you can save space and on the rare occasion someone asks you about it you can (as kindly or as rudely as you prefer) let them know that you aren't a fan.

Others are so mundane (handcuffs, clothed sex, facials, dating, etc) that they're only brought up if you either are really into it or are really against it. I'm actually really into sex with clothes on, so I will have Clothed Sex in my Yes tab, but if you're just like "Eh, I don't mind sex with clothes on, but I don't hate it either" then there is no reason to put it into any of the tabs, not even the Maybe tab.

Something similar for No's too; it's less the "I don't like these" tab and more the "Don't even bring that up to me" tab. So unless you really hate moogles (who are a rarity on F-list), there is no real reason for it to be on there. Be informative, but concise.

tl;dr make custom kinks, and only sort the kinks you actually give a shit about rather than sorting every kink under the sun.

Check the other profiles in the thread. Some profiles are really concise, because that character is generally only about one or two things. Batia is a pretty good example about being concise; most of her kinks are about the character likes her fucking, with some customs to do some extra legwork that compliment the more fetishistic kinks.

Then you have something like Vendis, Ilexa, or Eri, who are much more general profiles where their Yes and Fave tabs are things they really enjoy and the characters have some semblance of being adaptable with a wide range of options, but still don't have every kink added.

If you're not too keen on making multiple characters for multiple fetishes like some of us degenerates do, then there is nothing wrong with having a well populated Yes tab. However an overly stacked No tab can be a red flag, and a loaded Maybe tab speaks of, accurately enough, indecisiveness.
As for the Fave tab, I usually reserve that for character specific kinks that I'm generally looking for if I'm on that profile. If you're going with a general use character though, I would just fill it up with the shit you're really into. The kind of stuff that if people suggested you would be down for without much hesitation.

Yes my man, it is. Read through your faves and think about what really gets your motor going. If a roleplay centered around that specifically doesn't send you into boner town, it needs to get pushed down into the Yes tab. Faves should never, ever outnumber Yes's.

As a recommendation, I would put all species kinks that you like into Yes, underneath a "Species" subfetish. It saves space, and you can then put your absolute favorite species into faves. For example, if you really like, I dunno, robots over everything else, you can shove all the other species you like into the subfetish folder but keep robots specifically in Faves.

You have to add a custom kink first. Name it Species or some shit. You can use unicode symbols for customs, and I've seen people just collapse all of their regular kinks into a subfetish. Make sure to add a description for people to read that explains what's in the subfetish.

Save the changes to your profile, and go back into edit profile. In the Kinks drop down there is a "Subfetish Editor" link. Click it and it'll open a new tab.

From the new tab, click the subfetish custom kinkin the third column. Then click, in this example, species, in the far left column. The second column will fill up with kinks. Click each one, then click "Add Kink" to add a kink one at a time to the subfetish custom kink.

When you're all done and added all you want, click Save way down in the bottle left.

I've RPed with a few actual women. There's a few signs that make obvious.

In general women like longer term RPs, they want something with more depth or at least the pretense of depth in their relationship. He needs to be more than a faceless man, although faceless men are fine as side characters. They tend to not like violent forceful actions done to their character, but like the threat of it happening. So for instance they don't want to be punched in the face. They want the strength of the man's arm described and the feeling of his hand over her throat. It implies he COULD choke her but he isn't going to.

The trouble with women RP players is they are unstable. I find they do not stick to RPs for very long, they loose interest quickly, and require a greater amount of OOC care. They also tend to suck at writing a character with depth, I never know what their character is thinking or even if the are thinking at all.

So unnecessarily long descriptions, descriptions which do not communicate clear points, these all need to be trimmed.

Aesthetics comes secondary to being informative and brief.

This is especially true of kinks. If a kink is not something contraversial and you are not strongly for or against it there is no need to list. Listing every kink just bloats the list and makes take forever to actually read it. All I need to know is what you personally like and whether my own tastes put you off.

I get what you mean by the first one. When I see a profile with thousands and thousands of views and a fucking essay for the description I immediately assume that they've probably already done everything but the most creative and unique possible ideas so anything I suggest won't even get a response.

For the last one it kinda bothers me too. When someone has a ton of characters, especially with identical kink lists, it feels like they're just gonna play them all as completely interchangable with nothing setting them apart from each other.

Let's share general RPing tips

-I enjoy RPing very physically, having a body that moves. Keep track of what your characters appendages are and what they are doing. If one hand is jerking off a dick, what is the other hand doing? Is it touching the chest, fondling the balls, is it touching a different part of the dick. If your character has ears or a tail those can do things too. Ears can twitch, fall down, perk up. Tails can brush against things or emote
-If the RP has not reached the point of sex yet you can still make it sexy by having something physical happen with erotic parts of the body. Characters do not 'sit' they 'sit on their bubbly butt', if are sitting they might rub their legs together or spread them wide. If they reach for something and they are a dom than they 'extend their powerful, muscled arm' if they are a sub they 'reach for it with their delicate, small limb'
-It is important that to give your partner something to respond to in each post, something that MUST be addressed. This keeps the energy flowing. For example you might touch a different part of their body, change the speed of the fucking, or they might say something that require a response (doesn't have to be a question, can be a comment that is very blunt or explicit). When each partner does this it naturally creates a flow between all the events.
-You can describe the setting and location in a way that is erotic. This allows you to do world building and have depth without sacrificing the horniness. She is not on a bed, she is on a bed of pure, white sheets or deep, velvety reds sheets. It is not "daytime in the city" instead "her hair seemed to sparkle from the sunlight"
-Sex sessions should build up, both metaphorically and literally to a climax. Never start the RP with a level of intensity you don't think you can exceed over the course of the fuck
-If multi-fuck sessions there must a be a cooldown between fuck sessions. Can be as short as 2 replies or dozens of paragraphs.

The only two points that matter are the quality of the RP and whether the person behind the character is socially well adjusted. Everything beyond that is entirely personal taste.

I went through a femboy phase once, playing with them. Not as them. They are certainly cute and the players behind them really aim to please, very obedient subs. It's very much a one tricky pony though.

You need role plays types of everything though, everyone has an itch to scratch. The weaker roleplayers also can serve as a type of training experience for novices. I'm an elitist myself that thinks anything less than multi-para, novella-length plays are shallow. I don't hate any roleplayers, I've never encountered anyone unpleasant.
